Alert Symbol On Trend Micro

Hi guys. I use Trend Micro Antivirus as my security software for my Mac. Right now, I have a red alert symbol on the icon at the top of my screen. When I click on it, it tells me an update is needed, yet when I click the Update Now icon, it tells me I'm up to date. The warning symbol is still there. Do I need to restart my computer?
 
Is there any reason you don't want to do a restart?
 
Restarts fix many issues.
Bugs build up in memory and restarting gets rid of them
