Yep.

One chassis covers the Skoda Fabia, Audi A3, VW Golf, VW Beetle, Audi TT, Seat Ibiza and Seat Leon.

I'm not sure of what I am about to say, but I think the Ibiza is based on the VW Polo Chassis.

And you'd be correct.

But since the Polo is ALSO based on the Golf...

Volkswagen A4 platform:

 • Audi TT
 • VW Golf Mk.4
 • VW Jetta/Bora Mk.4
 • VW New Beetle
 • SEAT León
 • SEAT Toledo Mk.II
 • Skoda Octavia

Wikipedia
The Škoda Fabia is a small 5-door hatchback car built by Škoda Auto and based upon Volkswagen's Polo.

The SEAT Ibiza is a small hatchback car manufactured by the VAG and sold under the SEAT brand. The Ibiza is based on the same chassis as the VW Polo, itself a modified version of the VW Golf chassis.

Though I forgot that there was a new Golf, which is on a NEW platform, the "A5". Sorry.

So the Audi A4 is not under the A4 chassis?

That must cause plenty of Deutschkonfusion.

sorry if I confused anyone earlier, but A6M5 got it, Hyundai quality is about to blow america out of the water.

I haven't heard Skoda mentioned for years...

i'd want something different than the six million honda-[h5]HONDA[/h5]-
HONDA!!
clones all hovering about. something NEW...i'm sick of seeing the same things around here...beat up old square built pickups, CR-V's up the tuchus, a million Accords...we need something to break up the blocks and Japanese sedans. you know how rarer it is around here to see an x-type, discovery, or ANY mercedes?!

Sighs* rant over with. i think I'd rather have European cars back over in the states to break up the Japanese monopoly

Where I am, German, Japanese and domestic brands are distributed rather equally, with GMs, Toyotas, and VWs leading the way.

Not that I wouldn't appreciate seeing more Italian or French cars, or even "Spanish" and "Czech" ones... :)

I'm already familiar with Lada, but not GAZ... :odd:

The Lada taxi chase scene in The Bourne Supremacy was kick***!

where Lada is the soviet SUV and cars, GAZ is another manufacturer. if I remember right, they did most of the politbeureau and premier cars...they even have a page in English that's well done.

c'mon, isn't there a single slavic car guy out there?

South Korea has one company that has made strides in recent years, and everybody knows it's Hyundai.

If Samsung were to make cars they would probably surpass Hyundai. I own so much Samsung product it's rediculous...which includes a Stainless side-by-side refridgerator. And I've always preferred Samsung electronics vs Hyundai.
