This game looks pretty awesome, if I had a PS4 already and a lot of time on my hands I'd probably get it. As is, I don't think so, my life is busy enough.:( (I know they said it'd come on PS3 too, but PS4 probably brings it to life on another level)

Suppose you have until the end of the year I think to make a decision if you want it or not. Nowhere near out yet!
 
I've never seen the Aliens franchise, but having read a magazine preview of this game, it's definitely popped up on my radar. Love the aesthetic choice they've made.
 
When hiding from the Alien, the sound becomes more tense to increase the already nail biting atmosphere reports say. Fingers crossed for this, this game does look promising and I think we may finally have a good looking Alien game. Even the developers say they are worried they are to be associated with Colonial marines!

It shows a lot more promise doesn't it?! I really think this could be a watershed game in the franchise.

Was there any discussion of a demo during the show? (I.e. one open for people to play before the game comes out)

Personnally I'll wait for the first tests to be issued. All previous games based on the Alien franchise were just crap (and if I say crap it is just to remain polite).
I fear this one will not be much better.

I have to say that I'm a big fan of Alien(s). I had the movies in VHS, repurchased them when they were reissued on DVD and repurchased them again on Blu-ray (restoration is just incredible on the 1st movie :eek:). For the moment I will stick with the movies.
 
I haven't gone that far. I only bought them on VHS and DVD (Directors cuts). I'm trying very hard not to pre order this.

It is a shame that previous titles will forever be a stain on a franchise but its something you cannot miss :(

Nobody's quite approached an Alien game from the correct angle these guys seem to have taken the criticism on board and with luck learnt. Agreed we still need to wait on the overall execution but i'm hopeful. The ACM farce was such a kick in the dangles though,so this time i'm not exactly counting down the days but merely monitoring the situation.:odd:

Yes it was the last title that really put me off the idea. I know it's a different developer and that they really want to distance themselves from the previous game, but I'd rather adopt a wait and see policy. The trouble with that is that the pre order bonus it too amazing to want to pass up on.

It is an amazing pre-order bonus! I think enough people have been playing this game, and have enough support from Game shows to justify a pre-order for me! ACM never actually got played at these game conventions, they all seem very happy to show off this one!
 
The pre-order bonus will be released as a DLC just after the game is available.
So now my decision is made. Wait and see.
There was too much disappointment with previous Alien games, I'll wait. Anyway, after a few weeks or months its price will fall. And in the mean time, I'll finish a few games which are still pending.
