Below is a link to a really cool picture of all F1 cars up to the year 2004. Beware, it's a huge pic (~19MB, 9362x6622 pixels), so I'd advise you save the link to be viewed from your PC, rather than just clicking on the link... (Right click -> Save Target As).

Don't think it's been posted before, sorry if it has (I did search :) )

it shows the evolution from a piece of metal to an aerodynamic body right around the 1976-1981 era and they took their shape in 1986, a great revolution in auto racing*tear*
 
no way in hell i'm very viewing that on this computer... wow thats big... whats the point of such a large pic? even if it was a quater that size it'd still be huge...
 
yeah i'd love to see it... but my computer would reach out and slap me in the face if i tried to open it.

EDIT: ok i tired to open it anyway... not only is my face stinging but i got to see a nice red X. i need a new computer... :guilty: :grumpy: :ouch: :yuck:
 
Downloading it took like 2 hours. Then my comp crashed trying to open it. Then I saw it, and was bitterly dissapointed that all the pictures were just copied from a site and put into 1 document…

Well, I downloaded this huge thing as well, but Paint and other programs have a hard time to just show it, so if I want to look at it, I need to do that with Firefox :/

Anyway, it's very nice and is very useful :) (if you have a proper pc :p)

It only took about 30secs to load and 5secs to save!!

EDIT: Ive got it down to 8meg without loosing the size or quality but imageshack isnt doing anything. Im not sure if its very slow loading or just stopped :grumpy:

EDIT, EDIT: No it wont let me. Max image size is 1024 kilobytes
 
I can't see the big picture, as both my browser and image-viewing software (Fireworks) crash... but I can see the lower res one 👍 I used to have the 1978 Ferrari and 1978 Tyrrell as Scalextric cars :)
 
Really cool picture; I'd love to have it as a poster, but I've got no more room for any posters in my room!
