All I want is a time trial leaderboard with a "friends" filter.

For me it's the main thing that will give this game a second wind. And there should be two leaderboards- one for stock cars and one for tuned, not limited to stock like in arcade mode. Best lap ghost cars should be automatically saved, so we'd be able to download the ghost cars for our mates best laps. I guess there wouldnt be enough room on the server for everyones ghost cars, so I guess they'd have to be stored locally and only downloadable when our mates are online. Who's with me?

Definitely. At first I thought they were just waiting a couple of weeks in case it put too much strain on their servers. But its been over 2 months now. This is getting ridiculous.

ALmost everyone was expecting this. And its not like its hard to implement it either.

What I dont like about PD is they will obesses over some details which are not that significant but they just totally blind to little things like this which could make or break the game.

Awesome, thats very good news. But still... its been 2 and a half months since it was released, and this is one of the most important parts of a driving game IMO. Really wish they'd hurry up.

Agreed with you matt, it does seem like an excessive time to wait.
Although ' Online Leaderboards ' would be just one of many things they would be working on at the moment so i guess all will come in good time.

Although if you look at the current ' GT Academy ' disaster you will see that even if they did have online leaderboards it would be full of people exploiting the penalty system and then everyone would be on here moaning about how the leaderboards are useless and don't mean anything.

So perhaps they are working on perfecting the penalty system etc to make sure the Online Leaderboards are actually credible.

whenever i play a racing game ,Every time i do a lap in any part of the game i love to compare the time to my buddies in friends list for that little bit of extra competitiveness. its such a letdown when you realise your playing Gt5 and you cant do it ! Getting a impressive lap time in this game is pretty much a total waste.

A In-game competition for US only players where they get to race a real car on a real track.
But at the moment the top guys are just cutting across grass or driving alongside the wall to get the top times.. So they have had to change the track they are competing on twice now!

It is my opinion that they must be working on the penalty system BEFORE implementing the leaderboards otherwise it will just invite even more complaints.

I ask what is the point of online leaderboards if the top 250 people have just taken a huge shortcut across the grass?
