I just got all silvers on the AMG special event. So, the game says that I unlocked Nurnburgring 4hrs.

I was also awarded the 1991 MB 16 Evolution II. I took it to arcade mode on expert and picked the Nurburgring V course since it looked like it might be the new one that got added. It was a really fun car to drive on nurnburgring. I recommend you go drive it... Now!

Which track is the nurnburgring 4hr race? I'm still confused about that.

Congratz man! I was very proud of myself when I achieved it a while ago. Then I tried for Gold and made it! Mind you how happy you'll feel when you see those 20 Golds!!! :D

The 4 Hour Nurb endurance race is unlocked at level 28 or 30 A-Spec or something like that, it is not unlocked at the AMG Driving Academy but when reaching a certain A-Spec level you'll find it at the Endurance hall (It's the race between the Suzuka 1000 Km and the Tsukuba 9 Hrs). It takes place on the track configuration called "Nurburgring Type V" (which you do unlock in practice and arcade mode as a track), which is made of the glorious Nordschleife and part of the hideous GP circuit. It's a fun experience, I reccomend a 400-500HP car weighing over a ton with Racing tyres to enjoy it without making too much of an overkill.

OK, so the "nurnburgring 4hrs" is called Nurburgring type v in the menus.

I see that Nurburgring type v has the cars' headlights on. Other than the time change / weather change, what is thhe difference between nurnburgring type v and Nurburgring 24 hours?

No the nurb' 4 hours is an event taking place on the V version of the track.

The nurb' 24hours utilizes a portion of the GP circuit while the nurb' type V uses the entire length of the GP circuit.

This is not true. The "V" layout, or 4 hr layout doesn't include the "Schumacher S" where as the the 24 hr layout does. The 24 hr layout doesn't include the first couple left handers after the first hairpin at the end of the front straight.

Your sig!

GT5 does hit 60fps, especially if you are in front!

example:http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/gran-turismo-5-nurburgring-720p-1080p-3d-analysis

On time trials it is near constant 60fps!

Why post BS on a GT forum?

It may hit 60fps once in a while when there's practically nothing on the screen. And even when it does the whole game is rendered at about half of 1080p resolution and upscaled. Newbies like you really have no clue just how good a modern video game would look if consoles had more processing power. You just don't get how reduced the graphics performance is for xbox360 and PS3 games. There's really nothing to talk about on the subject.

Since the graphics are higher than SD, they look pretty darn good... And since modern tvs are very good displays compared to the first several years of PC LCD screens... A lot of people think that PS3/XBOX360 games have really great graphics... They really don't. It's just that everyone with a PC moved to monitors that weren't all that great for video games in the past 5-10 years and never looked back.

TVs of the past few years are so good, it's amazing. But there's nothing out there to show off what they can do. Unless you hook up a high powered PC for games or hack real GPU upscaling to blu-rays.

I even wasted my time and checked out that video of yours. What I saw was 45fps with an opponent on the screen while cornering. It's Fing ALWAYS a low fps with an opponent on screen while cornering. Now, THAT... Is Bull****.

...But I still have fun with the game. Even with a low framerate, it's still Gran Turismo. :)

Thanks for the responses, everyone else. Nurnburgring V and Nurburgring 24hrs include different sections of the shorter nurnburgring racetracks. Nurnburgring classic has none of the DTM or GT racetrack. Gotcha.

The game for me runs at constant 50-60FPS and high resolution. NOW BACK TO THE TOPIC...

Well done for getting all silvers. I think I got all golds.
