Just wondering, which car you guys use to win Amateur All-Stars. I really want to get a GT40 but it's so hard for my Impreza 22b sti.

Right now I have 250K, fully tuned Mustang Cobra, Viper GTS and Impreza 22b sti. I've only tried the Impreza but it seemed too hard for me.

So what car did you use to beat that race? And any setup would be great too. Thanks in advance.

I saved that race 'till... say 85% so I used a 787B :p But in a fully tuned viper it's very reasonable...

And welcome to GTPlanet Chuot! ;)

I think a 787b for anything in the Amateur League races is a bit of overkill and not very challenging. In the Pro All star series, maybe.

Anyway, for the Amateur all star race, about any race car or well tuned near race car should do it. The Viper should be good. It's been a while, but I think I used a NSX. I know at some point I won the Raybrig NSX and used it a lot.

I used a CLK DTM... pretty challenging, because the Benz is tail happy...

I would recommend the Viper GTS-R Oreca or, as Sersta said, either the Raybrig, Mugen Castrol or ARTA NSX...

I think I ran it in my Skyline R34 blah blah (the best one you can buy?). I later ran it in a fully tuned Mustang Cobra, though, and did pretty good. That's all from memory about two months ago though, so don't hold me to it (:

I think that your Viper GTS would get it for you. That is my opinion. Just run a smooth race and you should win. Good luck!

:burnout: The GT40 rocks!!

Thanks for the welcome :).

But how the heck I can get 787B when I can't even get the Ia license yet (2 more rounds). I've heard it's very powerful so it should win the race pretty easy.

I don't know about CLK (it's buyable?), but my Viper GTS (1077hp) is a little bit hard to handle, should I put soft tyres on it? And nobody comment about my other Ford and Subaru, that means they are no match for that race, aren't they? :D.

you have to win the CLK... by doing the Silver arrow races in Amateur league... Don't sell it, as it's quite a good car, and you can't win it again... You'll need a Benz to do it, though.

you need your Super License to get the 787B, at the Like the wind race in Pro... you can't win it again until you're at 75%, so keep it, it's a really good car!

Wait, i got an idea! Take your Mustang to the US championship in amateur league, and get the Camaro Race Car! with that Camaro you will have no problems doing the All Star Races!

Not really, I have just got the Camaro Race, the top speed after upgrade NA stage 2 is 207mph (that the only option I can tune in entire car). Handling is okay, but for a newbie like me, it's still difficult to beat.

The Gillet vertigo is a good car to do it in. At the moment im doing that as well in my Viper GTS. but I havent finished it yet (still gotta do it four times to get all the cars)

I drove my Camaro Race Car for one series, I used it stock. I didn't upgrade the horsepower or change any settings on it. It won fairly easily, but I think I used it on a Pro Level race set. I didn't have any handling problems, you should at least give it a try.

Keep us updated... :burnout:

Well, Camaro makes a good temporary "money-making" car, and once you're done with it, you can sell it for a nice $250,000...

I also used the Camaro Race Car for this series. That is plenty of car to walk away with the gold. You can pick it up in the Amature Stars and Stripes. This car will win all the races it can enter in Beginner and amature leagues.

Use the CLK Touring Car.............it should be able to rip past the competition.....I think I must have done that race with my Z06......I can't remember it was such a long time ago.

I have done a lot of races with both cars (CLK_DTM & Camaro). I have a killer set up for the CLK-DTM car. It's not tail happy at all once the tires are warm and that's on Super slicks. I did the Tokyo Endurance with it, so the set-up is PERFECT.
