See for yourself. My prediction is of an Iron Giant-esque story where the baby Griffon creature dies at the end. Also be aware that this is an early built (if it is real), so the protagonist's character model is more likely a place holder than the final build of its character model.

For what looks like a VERY EARLY real-time build, the baby griffon seems to have fantastic character animation. I am sure they will add filters and the such in the final game, but even now (main character not withstanding) the animal itself looks gorgeous. Like a big ole puppy dog...with spears in its hide.

Have you played Shadow of the Collosus? If yes, you should be very excited!

The animation (climbing, running horse etc) were the best I saw in that generation.

Thanks for posting and here's hoping it comes out at a quiet time for games and gets the attention it deserves.

It looks stunning, as usual. It'll look even better for the final thing. It already seems like you will be forming an attachment to the griffon thing so I'm expecting it to fall to it's death or something near the end of the game!

The beginning of the video was really promising. But.. Alliance with such a big creature? I hope the balance of the gameplay and the unique atmosphere of the series will not be changed too much. I'm a big fan of both of ICO and S.O.T.C. so I too have BIG expectations...

It appears that the puzzles will not be solvable without the giant creature. In some of the areas it appears that you have to use him to get where you need to go, it will be interesting to see how the game works with relying on such a huge character! How will he traverse the terrain and buildings without getting in the way or glitching? It will be a strange gameplay experience to rely so much on someone else, sort of the opposite to Yorda relying on you in ICO.

Absolutely amazing.

Shadow of the Colossus was one of my favorite games for the PS2, of all time.

Very much looking forward to another highly emotional ending.

The Griffin is gorgeous.
