I was just wondering how old the planet players are. I am 47 years old and sometimes feel like gramps when someone says they're 15. Can anybody beat 47? 10/12/54. :p

Well, no - but I am feeling a lot better about being 32... :D

i think Minsblu is like 43, but you're the oldest i've heard of.
you're a little younger than my parents.
congratualtions. :D

I'm 38. Don't feel old. Don't feel young. Age is nothing but a number.
Think of it as being "vastly more knowledgable secondary to a greater amount of life experience"

It's BS, I know, but You're not old until you become invisible to college girls.:D

37 here, 2 kids. You're not that bad off! Welcome to GTP, FTO. Nice avatar!

Edit: PS - check my .sig line!

I heard a great quote on a TV program on aging - they were interviewing this bloke who'd have been mid 60's, and asked 'have you ever wanted to be younger or older', and his reply, 'you know, not really. Throughout my life I always felt I was the right age'.

Great attitude!

28 here, one son. And welcome to :gtp:

~Peace~

26 here. But I feel older. I see a lot of bad stuff going on and wonder if we're all going to hell. I was driving home one night and a kid was vandalising a bus shelter next to a dual carriageway, bold as you like. The number of homeless has shot up in my town. My gf had to NEGOTIATE with ambulance control to get an ambulance that had stopped right next to them to take my brother's friend who had a head injury. We're using up natural resources at an unsustainable rate, yet people in this country complain about wind farms being unsightly. When you start having to work by candle light, you won't feel so smart then, will you?

What the hell is going on?

Hmmm, that was deep :o

Well if your 47 year old gramps then im about half way there. 22, Im "pre-gramps" perhaps  :p :p

Yes, I'll ditto Gil's adage of Old age and Treachery will always over come youth and skill.

I'm just shy of the 30 mark, and no kids. tezzell: My wife says I'm six, and I respond with "men never give up their toys, they just get more expensive..."

FTO2Go: Welcome aboard. Can you tell us the story of how you ended up here? Or rather hwo you ended up playing GT3?

Well, I use to drive formula ford's for skip barber. Crash at Road Atlanta. I didn't realize it was gonna hurt. I took up golf. I bought my 10 year old son a ps game system. They has GT1 doing it's demo thang.I could not believe how good the graphic were. The handling was like a real car. I tried other race games and they just don't compare. I've been hooked ever since. None stop GT3.

Part two of your question:

I've always wonder if there were other out there like me. I have been searching for about one year, trying to find addicts like myself. When I found this site and the gt3times site, I knew I had found heaven. My friend has our times from every quick lap, every track, and the car we were driving on that track(gt1-2 not 3). He doesn't have gt3 because his Ultra-Racer won't work on ps2. :thatsodd:

So you raced at Skip Barbers. Now that's something I envy.

As for golf being a safe sport, I've won awards for Quickest trip to the ER, and Most shanked balls hitting a golf cart. :D

Take some time, look around the site, you'll find more info here than any other site, and a boat load of people ready to teach and be taught. Then when you think you're getting good, take a look at the On-line Racing. I used to think I was fast...

Glad to have you on board.

Well, I simply can't believe it, but I'm three days shy of 30! :shakehead

The thing that surprises me most about the ages of the members here is not the age, per se. What's truly amazing is when you find a wealth of knowledge coming from someone who can't even legally drive (or when you find an adult spouting off like a spoiled eight year old).

In any event, welcome FTO2Go. I am looking forward to your 'Tales of the Track' from both GT3 and real life.
