I was thinking about how great GTA is and how much it makes me forget to do work, but its not that great after playing for a while. I start to play and I get sick of having these people tell me what to do all the time and the missions are too easy, except the last one at the Versettie(sp) estate. But anyway after a while it gets a little boring, go here do this go back, do this, find a cops uniform, kill bad people, race around in PJC. I think that instead of the next GTA they should have it in a forign country, with real cars. I know licensing is pretty hard and expensive especially for gta type games, but I was thinking maby having a GTA in Japan with 180's and Chasers and an occasional touge pass, with some Yakuza missions, and shuch. I think that GTA3 and GTAVC are copys of each other with better graphics(ps2) and older cars, missions werent that diffrent and as for the plane and helocopters that needed to happen for the game to sell. maby if rockstar came out with a drastically diffrent type of game it would make GTA series more interesting and more fun. I love the GTA series but its just it seems the same, I will buy San Andreas and play it and like it but I think that given a diffrent setting and diffrent mission type GTA will become a better game and will sell more. Thats what I think and sorry for the poor grammar and spelling.

A game similar to GTA where you get to just wander around all the time would be cool - but you know you can do that in GTA? You don't have to do any missions at all. I think I only ever did the first mission. The only thing I would want is for it to be online with hundreds of people at the same time.

[David Spade]I liked that game the first time I played it, when it was called The Sims[/David Spade]

Give it time...I see the series heading that way (or at least an online GTA universe) it kind of unofficially exists in MTA (Multi Theft Auto) although that is just a mod and I hear still pretty glitchy.

But as far as having a huge GTA type city with stuff to do...I'll wager it is coming....but GTA:SA isn't it so if you don't like this type of game, I urge you not to buy it....Problem solved!!

I buy the GTA games because they are not relaistic or anything. If I wanted a game like that I would buy True Crime or Mafia. But the GTA series is supposed to be funny, and not realy serious. I think that the escape from reality is what some people like about this series. You can do anything you want really it's just a fun game. If they took away its GTA-ness I wouldn't like the series as much. Sure improve graphics, make better gaeplay etc. But don't turn it into a game it's not.

Also I heard MTA was shutting donw. Pitty I never got to play an online game:'(. I'm going to trade my PS2 version of GTA3 for my friends computer version (Jimmy Enslashay from Neoseeker) because his computer won't handle the graphics. So I hope it's still opperating and I can play an online game.

That would be total carnage imagine hundreds of other players like ourselves, all ull ever see would b ppl runnin round the streets wid bazookas knockin out evry 1, driving would be totally wreckless cos its us driving not the slow AI. It would be really hard to complete mission unless u strike a deal wid sharpshooters on the roofs to prevent u from being made mince meat by them.

Well it is a nice thought cos we could form gangs and stuff and start turf wars oh that would be great

Imagine acidman running amuck in MTA with a spas 12. :nervous: :scared:

No. you are not the only one. Tigger is the only one.

I just think if they mix hills with cars and buildings with windows and water with swiming it would be realy cool. I had so much fun just driving down and up hills a and cliffs. shooting from top of buildings and running round in the streets. GTA is good they just need to get the environment of GTA3 with the vechiles and guns of VC. GTA3 was more like a city we need like a square city thats thick and long. need changing altitude. im sure sanfransico will be the greatest environment.

I agree, It probably will be but we'll just have to wait and see. Anyway I think they've put alot of effort into San Andreas, I just wish they'd let out some info!

Regarding MTA, I didn't really find it all that fun. The graphics are choppy. For ex. , when an opponent is running towards you he skips like 2 feet and reappears and etc. And playing with all of the VC nerds on there, where the only thing they do is get their Hunter and try to crash at you or shoot hundreds of missiles at you. I just didn't find it all that fun playing with people like that. No matter what room you play in, there's people like that. And most of the time when you join in on a game, there are already alliances with other people and they all just chase you and hunt you down. So I would suggest not getting to excited about MTA.

I disagree...I would rather play the game cold and discover it as I play. I played VC first and I think I got too many spoilers off these boards...I'm playing GTA3 now and I'm enjoying figuring stuff out...it adds to the challenge...I'm purposely not getting any GTA3 info.

I agree, when I started GTA:VC, I knew almost nothing apart from the following: (barring the fact that I knew it was the sequel to GTA3)

1) It was set in the 1980s.
2) There would be motorbikes.
3) There would be helicopters.

That's all I knew before I bought it. I already loved GTA3 so just knowing that it was more of the same with some cool improvements was all I needed to know. I never paid much attention to the rumours and I still don't read the GTA:SA forums. Unless it comes right out of the mouth of Rockstar themselves, then I'm not interested in every stupid halfwits opinion on GTA:SA And even then I don't really care, it doesn't matter what the reviews or Rockstar say. What matters is what the games like and when I can get my hands on it.

I disagree, when GTA3 came out I new nothing about it, but I had GTA2 and decided to buy the sequel, I played it and I loved it but after playing that great game, when rockstar announced GTA:VC there were alot of rumours, but some stuff like lists of weapons, screenshots etc. really made me exited about the game. With San Andreas I have no expectations, most of the time I don't care weather or not it's better than the other GTA games because I love them so much. I don't know what they are doing with the game so I don't really care.

I didn't really explain myself well but I hope you get me.

P.S. Spuds, where are you up to in the GTA3 storyline atm?
