It seems as if our wishlist if filled but on the other game. The porsches, dlc every month, and niw the free roam . I wonder why they ,turn 10, can produce all this. Continually produce new content for the game. And pd struggles to give the ,not promised but i dont know. Dlc every other month. Any theories or answers. Seems to me if one can then the other should be able to. Other than the legal issues ,i dont get it. Anyone?

the cars that are used in forza have a lower production cost than those of GT5. PD makes cars that takes as long as cars from iracing. u shouldn't be mad at how long it takes because this is how its supposed to be

I have no idea myself, but what I do know is that this thread will probably turn into yet another GT5 vs Forza thread.

I'm not going to argue which is better, my views have been stated many times. However, I am going to deliver some information.

  • Forza outsources some development. So, they can "expand" their workforce when needed. As far as I know, Polyphony does not. Everything is done in-house, with about 100 employees.
  • Turn 10 laser scans cars, and they are modeled with less overall detail than in Gran Turismo. Also, Polyphony models cars "by hand," and likely has not used laser scanning to speed up the process, also, the models have higher overall detail, which translates to slightly longer development time.
  • Forza Horizon is primarily being developed by Playground Games, using resources (Forza 4 content) made by Turn 10.

There are many factors involved, and I highly doubt in any way that it's simply Polyphony Digital not wanting to deliver.

Not my intentions at all. Just happened to be at gamestop and saw the box for horizon. After i got home i went to forza web siye and looked at their car list. Vast differene than ours. Never had given forza a second look or second thought. It seems they dont have as many courses as we do though.

I haven't even played GT5 since iRacing... LOL so anyway who CARES what the other game has. Be happy with what you got! Is it ever enough?

Polyphony Digital isn't money hungry like most companies ( Especially EA) in stead of giving us A BUNCH of stuff, they give us a little bit of perfection, thanks you PD :)

Offering less makes them better, how?

Simple answer here is no,as long as there is something a game doesn't have, then we(the public, consumers, etc) are going to want it.

Erm, 'Less is More'? :boggled:

PD focuses on Quality over Quantity (don't count the Standards!), which is probably why some people appreciate it and play GT5 :)

This ^

Does it really matter? I rather save money than spend money on some LED lights. But if I can, without corrupting myself, I would, obviously.

I do wonder why they never could come up with a colour spectrum, I'm sure it has something to do with 'authenticity'.

Either way, this is a horse that has been beaten to death and used as a punching bag from there on.

While not exactly the same topic, the GT5 vs Forza DLC thread definitely covers a fair amount of this.
