Ok, in the amateur FR race in GT3, you guys know that its 5 laps for each race. The thing is, I haven't been able to win a single race for the life of me. My tires burn out if I should even attempt to drift, and its impossible to go for a pit stop, because the rest of the cars don't do a pit stop at all. Do you have to use grip racing then? I want the AE86 S.S version badly so I need to win the FR races.

I tried using Simulation tires today for the first time on an AE86 (245HP), using a analog control pad...it is difficult enough just to even keep the car moving straight on the straightways...how is it possible to drift on SIM tires?

Thanks

for this race i Used Camaro Race Car...(only FR racing car in my garage at this moments) was an easy victory!

I recall using the 86 in that race, wasn't very hard. Slight sliding doesn't drop the lap time much, even on sims.

Try the pro vitz race btw, on a stock car with sport tires. The same specs as the com drivers. It's pretty hard to win the race.

i used RX7 Infini III. get more practice and you'll get use to the sims. and...grip in race if you want to win, drift tends to loose speed and time.

Thanks for the comments guys
Sorry, but what is 'pro vitz race', what is a 'stock car' and what are 'com drivers'?

Er...my question regarding tire burnouts and pitstops during the race haven't been answered...anyone care to help?

I tried using simulation tires for the race and drifted a bit, my lap times worsened terribly. With normal or sport tires and grip racing, I managed to come in second. Am I just a lousy drifter or what?

Thanks a lot

"Impossible is nothing"

Pro vitz race = Professional => Vitz Race

stock = Original built car, noting dont to it what so ever.

com drivers = AI/ computer drivers

use sport, grip dont drift, keep practicing.

ummmmmm with tire burn outs it mite mean that your car has to much power or you are using **** tires. this can be fixed buy getting better suspension with some good settings or racing tyres. and i just got the s.s a while ago:D

and i agree with Rx7Ownz{keep practicing.

i not saying you need practicing.

if you only win races because your car is faster you won't get any better.

1.) Why are you drifting in a race? Just grip. It's faster and it'll save your tires.

2.) Why are you using simulation tires to race? Use a race compound tire like Super-slicks.

just in case plz look at my sig

You are an imbecile.
This is a driving simulator, not Initial D. That stupid cartoon suggests drifting is faster, which is totally untrue.
Congratulations; you have deterred me from continuing to even look in the GT3 forum.

so many newbs in one day...

- not that theres anything wrong with that.

Asian_Drifter welcome to gtplanet and enjoy your stay.

im pretty sure you can get answers from using search tool.

i used a camaro street car with medium tires, medium tires dont wear out until 8 laps, so you can make the whole race

Thanks for being so frank, and call me stupid, but I have the right to be an imbecile in the world of video games

Thanks, and this is strike Number three.

Have a nice day, you've amassed enough strikes and warnings to be banned. You've worn out your welcome here at GTplanet.

Don't come back.

Der Alta

Ouch, driftng is slower but no need for him to be a asshole. He deseved the banning, well done Der Alta.

Wow. That was unjustified.
Please enlighten me as to what 'strike 1' and 'strike 2' were.

I have only worn out my welcome from you, Der Alta.
There are thousands of other people who have the right to think otherwise.

It's the way you just insulted Asian drifter. Just because you do not drift that does not mean other people can't, if he wants to win races whilst using drifting techniques then thats up to him, but he asked for help not to be insulted.

Actually some drifting techniques can help win races. There really was no need for going off your nut at Asian_Drifter like that.

umm He does drift...........................

Who does drift, Asian drifter or driver X?

driver x aslo known as Street fighter...

You've been warned by Vat_man, twice. You've been warned twice by me. After discussion with other moderators and Jordan, it's been agreed that you've done enough. GTplanet is a privately owned web server. You're welcome if you abide by the owners rules. You've chosen to flaunt them. Here is the result.

Perhaps the biggest insult, is that a new person comes onto GTP and he's insulted for an honest question.

By re-registering, You've added another strike. Which means you're up for an IP ban.

Thank you, Good bye,

Der Alta

Ok, so he's just stupid. Theres still no need for him to come out with that, and thats not the first time.

IP BAN huh ? Not a good day is it Alta?

Wow. I've never been around when someone is about to get banned. By what Der Alta said I think I'll be a good boy. I wonder if I've had any strikes against me? Hope not

He's been warned before so IMO it's not premature.
