After months of waiting the Buttkicker BK-GR are in stock. $107.95 with free shipping. Let the games begin.:)

Damn, I got hosed at Buttkicker Direct, $148 with shipping. :banghead: I usually buy everything from Amazon but when I saw them in stock Friday I didn't hesitate. Better hurry if your going to get one from Amazon, only 9 left. :D

I received it yesterday from Amazon after placing my order in September 2011.

I like it a lot. It adds a little bit more to my set up. I had a Buttkicker mount put on my SR-X Driving Simulator from Sim Seats.

I am playing Forza 4 right now. The Buttkicker vibrates a lot with the menu music while waiting in the lobby but you can turn the menu music off to eliminate that.

When you go over a road bump, down shift, make contact with another car it works very well.

I would say after about 6 hours playing with it I am very happy with my purchase.

I will be receiving mine in a week or so.

How did you connect it to your xbox360

Mine is in transit and scheduled for delivery tomorrow, I would like to know this also. I currently use component video and stereo RCA cables to my TV. I am running the digital optical cable to the transmitter for my Turtle Beach PX5 headphones.

If you plug the transducer to your setup as-is, you're going to have to use either the Right or Left audio out. However, you will only feel one "side" of the effects. If you have a receiver, you can connect it to the subwoofer out. I have a stand-alone setup with just a Turtle Beach headphone amp for my headphones and a Throne Thumper transducer. I use a Stereo to Mono adapter (not just a 2 RCA to 1 RCA adapter...that can mess stuff up). You can order one from Edcor: http://www.edcorusa.com/p/5/s2m ...it's 22 bucks, but they charge about $18 for shipping and handling. For that price, I'd rather save up a bit more and buy two BK Gamer2s for stereo rumbles. :)

I have a surround sound system and ran it from my sub woofer. I have to unplug the monster cable from my subwoofer to connect it to the buttkicker. This does not allow sound to come from the sub woofer though.

I need to find the right solution to run it from my sub woofer to the buttkicker with out unplugging the monster cable. I do have two RCA jacks on the back of the sub woofer.

Looks like a trip to Radio Shack when I get a chance.

This is what I use, RCA 2/Female to 1/Male Y Connector Cable. Plug it into the subwoofer RCA plug on my amp, then one side goes to the subwoofer and the other to the buttkicker.

If you have your own surround sound system/amp, I'd recommend getting 2 Aura pro bass shakers instead of a buttkicker. Reason being is that buttkicker is only going to give you 1 source of shaking while with 2 bass shakers on either side of your seat you are getting a better "Feel" for where the shaking is taking place.

Does anyone know what the differences are between the Buttkicker Gamer 2 and the Buttkicker Simulation kit? They have the same specs on the website, so is the only difference one is easier to mount on an office chair?

I could pick one up locally but it's the Simulation Kit, I would be attaching it to the bottom of my office chair.

Thanks

Amplifier is the same specs but the tactile unit is different.
Sim kit uses the "Mini Concert" tactile unit.

It is slightly larger than the Gamer unit but can work with higher wattage.
Using the same amplifier as the Gamer you will get a slight improvement over the Gamer model with a little extra strength of effect at the expense of no clamp.

Thanks for your reply Latte, I always see you helping people out a lot and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say your contribution is appreciated.

I'm still undecided about this, I don't know if the mini concert will fit fine under my office chair. I can get the simulation kit for 120 local, or buy a new Gamer2 that can attach to an office chair for 179 with shipping.

Would it screwed to the bottom of my office chair be a good idea or a bad one? Is the position of the gamer2 a lot better for the office chair route?

Well Im sure with a bit of creativity you could easily attach it to your office chair.

You could bolt/screw on a small board underneath the seat section and then attach the Buttkicker to that possibly

Dang I heard about these for a long time but didn't know they were so expensive. They have really good reviews though, I'd definitely consider it around the $100 range if I were to build a nice racing setup. Looks like it's kind of piling on to an already high amount of wires and equipment needed to use a racing wheel. I hate having so many electrical wires to deal with :(, they have taken over my room! So I probably will never get one, but do love the idea.

ropeadope - If a Buttkicker is too expensive you could always try an Aura Pro Bass Shaker ($45 from Parts Express). I've currently got one hooked up to the amp section of an old subwoofer bought off ebay. There are some extra wires, but the effect is so good - I couldn't go back to having no tactile!

If the wires are a problem - if your family know someone who is handy with DIY you can run all your wires into a wall mounted socket or sockets, then have a set of wires in one neat bundle running from your gaming chair to the sockets.

So rather than the splitter comming off of the tv (B) it would be hooked up to the sub?
