Amazon offering release day delivery!

You do realize that the release date is Wednesday NOT Tuesday?

I didn't really bother with Amazon for this game, as I'll be in the area of a Game Stop on release day anyways on the 24th. Besides, the 25th is Thanksgiving, which automatically eliminates a business day of shipping. I'd rather stay up and play Wednesday night than have to wait till Friday.

Yes, I do. Read the post I quoted. Also, Amazon offers release date delivery, which isn't Friday.
 
Ive got a bad feeling about that release day shipping option, at least for some of us anyway. Im sure many will get it that day, but they are STILL taking preorders for the CE, and STILL offering release day shipping.

So they are either getting a large amount of CEs, or some people are going to end up screwed and waiting an extra day or 2, which kind of explains to me the cheap release day shipping. Never have I seen that site over $0.99 release day shipping. Something seems fishy to me.

It's normal. BLACK OPS had free release date shipping and so does/did GT5, halo did as well.
 
Mhh , here in Holland its normal for every game to get it the day on release when pre-orderd. But its a very small country , so that could explain things.

Hey I have pre-ordered on amazon UK. I got three options:

Choose a delivery option

1) FREE Super Saver Delivery (2 - 4 business days)

2) First Class (up to 2 business days) (currently selected)

3) Expedited (1 business day(s))

Which of these is the best to ensure that i get this on release day?

I've got first class selected. I've pre-ordered DVDs and games from Amazon before, with first class they usually arrive either the day before release day or on release day. Super saver usually gets there on release day or the day after. Never order Expedited.
 
I just canceled my CE order with Gamestop and ordered it through Amazon. Thanks for the heads up.

Just an FYI for everyone in the states who is ordering the game for shipping. Thursday is a holiday for all shipping companies. You won't get the game until Friday if you're lucky. The best option is either the Amazon game day shipping or in-store pick up.
 
If you got it before the delay with release day shipping, they took away the charge for the shipping because they couldn't make the November 2nd date that they promised. 👍👍👍 There's a reason I do a lot of my shopping through Amazon.
