making a club is the cool thing to do today so i'm making an AMC/Jeep club, join if you like, and post pictures of AMCs and AMC-Jeeps.

Umm sorry for not making this AMC related but I just realized that I joined on the date my sister was born which makes this all the more amazingly stupid.

the thing with rust and AMCs is one of AMC's factories had a leak in the roof for years, it was the repair factory, if any panels got damaged on the assembly line they went to "the repair hole" which had a leak in the roof, this was usually before the rustproofing happened (on the assembly line, the panels hadn't been coated yet) some fenders rusted early, because the rust started before the panels went on the car.
