I used a Camaro it worked well...It only cost 23,000 plus upgrades and its easy to learn to drive...I neverdrove the lotus so I dont know how it is...The Lancer is good...
The Lancer won't make it through the end of Amature (even though its one of my favorites) but i used it to beat all of rally. You also win a Camaro from beginner so that's a good choice. The Esprit 350 is MR so its handles great and you don't get any understeer or oversteer (if your on Super-Softs). The Esprit also has 1087 hp fully modded
(on my game) and it still handles like a dream.
Eric, if you haven't done it yet, I suggest you buy/use a stock Miata and run the Roadster Enduro. If you beat the Beginner level, you can beat the Miata enduro just by using Super Slicks and pitting every 10 or 15 laps. You stand a good chance of winning a decent (or very good) car. If nothing else you'll win 100,000 credits to spend fixing up that Lancer. 100,000 credits will make the Lancer fast enough to beat a lot of the early Amateur series, where the prizes start getting good. A tuned up Lancer will also beat the Seattle Enduro using the same pit strategy, which is also worth 100,000 credits. I won my Tommykaira ZZII at Seattle, and with that car you can beat the Amateur level.
The car I used for a lot of the amatuer and some of the professional was the Corvette C5-R -> Buy a Lancer Evo VII, full mods, take it to Super Speedway. If you don't win the C5-R the first time, do it again until you win it. Takes about an hour.
Can you please clarify what you mean by your cars aren't fast enough?
I would suggest adding the racing transmission to the Viper in order to get all the available top end speed out of it. Also put on medium slicks, which should last through a 5-lap race.
That should be enough to put up a good fight against most of the competition. Certainly it should be enough to win some of the series where you get a purpose-built race car as a pize, such as the German Touring Car cup.
The simplest way to use it is to set the "auto" setting wide enough that the car just hits the rev limiter (when the red shift light flashes) at the end of the longest straight for the particular track.
This is something you'd adjust for each track. That gives you the best acceleration you can get without sacrificing top speed for that course. There are other ways to do it, but that's the easiest.
that works really well, i am a lot faster than the other cars, but since i have 385,000 and have always liked porshes i was wondering if the ruf ctr2 is worth it
