(Sooo...is Michael Wolfe's book a joke or an accurate [and frightening] depiction of the administration?)

(Sooo...is Michael Wolfe's book a joke or an accurate [and frightening] depiction of the administration?)

Everything I've seen about it so far sounds believable and it highlights the problem with Trump's own lack of credibility - the more he denies something the more true I'm certain it is.

The book... who knows. It either deliberately plays to the many rumours about the inner workings of the White House or it reflects them quite accurately, impossible to say. I'd love it all to be true though :)

 The Clintons are facing FBI investigation regarding the Clinton Foundation.

http://www.latimes.com/nation/natio...-foundation-investigation-20180105-story.html

Associated Press
The FBI is investigating whether the Clinton Foundation accepted donations in exchange for political favors while Hillary Clinton was secretary of State, two people familiar with the probe confirmed Friday. The revelation comes as President Trump and congressional Republicans have been urging the Justice Department to look into corruption allegations involving the foundation.

It is unclear when or why the probe began, but the sources told the Associated Press it has been ongoing for several months, with prosecutors and FBI agents taking the lead from their offices in Little Rock, Ark., where the foundation has offices. The people were not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity. The Hill newspaper first reported the probe.

:boggled: Inspector General investigation procedes on HRC server, handling of classified documents.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...ment-dump-could-hold-new-year-bombshells.html

Robert Mueller’s special counsel probe gets most the publicity these days, but another investigation involving the 2016 election is wrapping up soon and could be just as explosive.

For the last 12 months, the inspector general of the Department of Justice has been conducting a review of the FBI and DOJ’s actions related to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.

A final report on the investigation is expected within several months. But in the coming days, the Department of Justice is also expected to provide Congress with “many, many more” records related to the review, according to the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.

--------

The inspector general said his team has interviewed dozens of people and had reviewed about 1.2 million records in the course of its investigation.

The more I read/hear/see about "Fire and Fury," the more I question just how credible it really is--the latest being a CBS This Morning interview with the author himself.

As much as I'd like it to be a beacon or rallying cry that leads to impeachment, I fear it may end up being a hindrance.

There's even a part of me, as small as it may be, that wonders if he and it could be a plant to keep Trump in the first five minutes of the news and provide justification for the endless "fake news" tweets and sound bytes.

Aaaaand it seems I've gone too far.

I'm sure like most books, the author took some "liberties" to make it more of an interesting read. I'm still up in the air if I want to read it, I mean I'm having a hard time even getting past what might be the worst designed cover I've ever seen.

Doesn't the book say Trump didn't want to win? The Democrats are crying collusion with the Russians during the election process. Why would someone collude with the Russian's if they didn't want to win?

To be fair, Trump strikes me as the type that would enter the race just for publicity and a laugh, stay in there because he was enjoying the attention and ripping apart his opponents, and then only realise at the last minute what he'd actually signed himself up for should he win. Not that that's necessarily what happened, but if someone explained it to me like that I wouldn't write it off immediately.

I think it's pretty possible that the Trump campaign went balls to the wall crazy trying to win, and at the same time Trump himself had some regrets when he actually did. Coming into election night, for all his bravado he would have known like everyone else that it was a toss up at best, and maybe deep down he sort of hoped that he would lose and he could go back to his old life.

When I heard about Trump wanting a "gorilla channel" on TV and that he watches it 17 hours a day, the book is crap. I wouldn't waste my money or time on it...

I often wonder if he does what he does in an effort to get others to act against him and move closer to impeachment proceedings because he still doesn't want the job, all while commanding as much of the spotlight as he possibly can and doing his best to mask these efforts so as not to lose face--better to look like an idiot than a coward.

I still feel like Trump entering the race was a ploy by the Democrats to ensure Clinton was elected. Trump was (and probably deep down still is) a Democrat (although Democrats and Republicans are virtually the same now) and was friends with the Clinton's. However, I think the plan backfired when Trump started seeing a ton of support, which would explain many of the ridiculous things he said close to the election.

I don't think he ever wanted to be president and I think partially that's why he just says whatever he wants right now. It wouldn't surprise me if in 2020 he stepped aside to let Pence have a go at it.

The GOP should get one-up on the Democrats in 2020 and run a black woman.

I think it all started when Obama roasted him really badly at the white house, maybe I can find a vid if you don't know what it is. There are many people like Trump in the word, those with an unbelievable drive when provoked.

Here are some clips of the roasting.

So you're saying he was provoked there? It sure looks to me like someone reacting to provocation...

The moment when POTUS Hillary Clinton, the first female president, hands over the White House to the first black female president, will be a surreal moment indeed. We've progressed so far :)

I thought the 2020 democratic nominee was going to be Will Smith. I actually heard that from a few different places, but that was a couple years ago now.

I also know that The Kanye West has said in the past that he would run in 2020. The way he says it, it sounds about as serious as when Trump first started toying with the idea, buuuut, we all saw how that ended up. Yeezus would probably do a decent job though, afterall, he is a 🤬 genius!

The problem is that he's thin-skinned, twitter-obsessed and blinded by a constant need to remind the world of his superior genius. Can you really imagine a man like that winning the Presidential race?

I'd vote for Kanye all day...just as long as he promised to make soul beats again. Also Kim K as the first lady, can you imagine all the world leaders saying "dat ass" in a multitude of languages?

Can you imagine the First Lady being a former amateur porn star?

Dat fake ass... Just like the rest of the family.
You think America is screwed under Trump? Wait till we get a guy that wants to sell people clothes in worse condition than the local junkie for $4k.
It would honestly be the worst thing to happen to America.
And he's even more egotistical than Trump...

I don't need to imagine. Melania already posed nude several times and apparently, there's some girl-on-girl pictures out there too. Although to be fair, I think they were professionally done.

Eh, probably not. At the very least Kanye wouldn't be out to start a nuclear war over Twitter.

I still think Kayne is a genius though. Being able to manipulate millions of people into thinking you're a jerk so you can sell an absolute ton of albums and merchandise takes some skill. Plus, he's managed to build himself up as a brand without really offering anything. The Kardashians are the same way, they're all geniuses when it comes to marketing. They made millions by doing absolutely nothing but having rich people problems on TV.

I don't think he's serious about running though. It'll probably end up a publicity stunt as the election gets closer...kind of like Kid Rock did with the Michigan Senate race.

That honestly doesn't sound any different from Trump.... Got paid to do nothing but say, "You're Fired" by the time he built his own brand up.

Technically he built a real estate empire.
Kanye sells music to dumb kids and the Kardashians sleep with black celebrities.
A little different...
