What car are you all using for the second event at Laguna Seca? Won the first with the NASCAR but unsure what to buy for the second event?

You can do it with the NASCAR Stock car no problem, i did it with the Corvette ZR-1 Race modded for both races, but have had b-spec bob win in the Impala.

RM ZR1 for me too, I resisted buying one but I really don't regret doing so any more, what an excellent car...

I held back too being not much of a Vette fan but wow...it is a great car. ZR1 makes both races easy.

I used a stock car pretty sure. I also can use a Ford GT Spec 2 or whatever it is that you win from some other race.

Use a stock car, turn the downforce all the way up.

First time I did it was with the Jimmy Johnson stock car, then went back and did it again with the Race Modded ZR1. Didn't have a problem golding the whole deal with either car.

2J

It owns Laguna.

Makes sense since Jim Hall was from that area and the 2j ran its first RL races there, if my memory is correct. You would think it would lose vacuum on the corkscrew, though...

To stay on topic I too used the ZR1 RM in B spec. (Haven't tried A spec yet.)

C6 ZR-1 RM.

Had to nanny him throught the Daytona one as he liked to brake about 50m before everybody else. Can only used Racing Hard tyres aswell.

I definitely puckered up when hitting that corkscrew. lmao.. no homo

I did it in My Viper ACR with ~750 HP. Just make sure you have tires, suspension, transmission, etc. to go with it!

Slightly old thread to add a post, so apologies, but better than starting a new one on the same(ish) topic.

The RM'd 'vettes are outstanding for these races.
I did find the Ford GT LM spec II much more comfortable to drive, but about a second off the pace on Indy, for sure.
Tend to hit around 43s laps on the Ford GT at Indy, but ~42s laps with the 'vette.

It also seems a better choice for B-spec, since although you can go flat out on A-spec and ignore braking if you corner precisely, Bob still adheres to what he figures to be a braking zone. In which case, the 'vette definitely rules over the Ford, as it has a greater overrall speed and Bob cares little for how comfortable he is in his driving.

I do have a query on Indy for this though. Just trying to make my money grind as swift as possible.

How does the Esperante GT-R do on it? I've not seen one to purchase in the lot as yet. (Looking to get it on the PSP and import soon).

It troubles me that it's FR though. For that level of vehicle, I was hoping it was MR. I just have nightmare flashbacks of purchasing the Gillet Vertigo and crashing around the Indy circuit, despite having maximum front downforce and minimum rear. I really hope the Esperante isn't as ropey as that.

If I had a clue what I was doing with suspension settings, I could maybe get the Vertigo handling like the car it should be, but alas...

Bit annoyed actually, I want to try it in NASCAR, but the two that I have purchased are Joey Lagano's and Kyle Bushes ..... Both Toyotas.

Although they are both NASCAR's they are considered as Japanese cars and cannot be used in this event .... grr.

Doh!

They work well in the championship - when you can enter a US one!
Bought a Dale Jr. one without even thinking.
