American Dust Racing has been restarted to coincide with the launch of the Spec 2.0 update (the thread is a little late, I know
). As the video shows we race: ACO LMP, FIA GT, Super GT, NASCAR, and WRC. We are currently recruiting and have rooms open almost (if not) every night. For the most part (at the moment) we are recruiting LMP, GT1, and GT2; we run the room at La Sarthe. We will ask you questions such as: What is your favourite car and why? What is your favourite racing series and why? What is your favourite team and why? Etc.
We will want you to take pride in the car you drive, and the team you are on. By that we don't just mean take pride in being part of ADR, but whatever team your car is in IRL (that is assuming it is on one, ie. not a RM or TC and in fact a real life race car). For example, I race the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP, so I show pride in racing that rather than any other car (Peugeot is my favourite racing team, hence why I drive that car). I know that may seem silly, but we want you to be happy with, and like, the car you're driving, rather than a "meh" attitude and dislike it.
We also host endurance races approximately once or twice a week. For now they are 24 lap races at La Sarthe with 3 car classes (LMP, GT1, GT2). Prior to the race everyone is to come out of the pits and line up in the order of: LMP cars first, GT1 cars second, and GT2 cars third. We then do a 2 lap qualifying race to determine the starting order for the full race. In both the qualifying and real race the LMP cars start right away, however, the GT1 cars are to wait 30 seconds before going, and the GT2 cars 50 seconds.
In a month or two we will be hosting endurance races on SPA as well. We are refraining from doing so now due to most of the GT5 community still being horrible at the track.
Once recruited, you will be asked to make a new account and name yourself "ADR_*insert name here*". However, your name will be a joint decision between you and CLUTCH. To be honest I'm not entirely sure why he doesn't want you to keep whatever name you have (as in ADR_YourCurrentNameHere"). My ADR name is ADR_TOTAL, though my original PSN name was TheDrummingKING, as it is here. Probably wouldn't fit anyway, I know, but I asked if I could use ADR_TDK, but he said it has to be a word. It really isn't a big deal though if I'm honest, I like the name ADR_TOTAL anyway.
We race clean and do not take kindly to dirty drivers/corner cutters/etc.
We (well, I, but I'm sure the team will too) look forward to having members of GTP on our team (since the community here is full of clean, respectful, and fast drivers).
Please read: I am aware that there has been drama here before about ADR (including ADR_XCLUTCH being banned). I ask you to refrain from bringing that up and/or starting another flame war. I have talked to CLUTCH asking why he was banned, and I am aware of the thread he made saying "🤬 you gtplanet", so there is no need to point that out. As CLUTCH is the leader of ADR, he will be the host of all the rooms (recruitment, endurance races, etc.). If you join just to talk 🤬, you will be kicked (unless he decides to 🤬 talk back, and challenge you to a race

Oh yeah, add ADR_XCLUTCH if you're interested in joining, or just look for the room "ADR TRYOUTS GRIP".
