Gonna give you the final decision on the car to take after tonight's pre-season race (at least I hope so...).

It's only pre-season so you are free to try out any class in any car.

Anyways, my 2nd time testing with Corvette failed, so I won't consider that car again.. Guess I'll try out the Ford on the last pre-season.
 
Looks like I was about 10 min late. :( Got to watch some of the race though. Told you the BMW was fast. lol. I agree with Blaze though, has to much hp right now. I think low to mid 1:24 was the norm for GT on this track. I know the BMW can hit 1:23 easy.
 
Someone jumped the start, then didn't relinquish his position, sorry I had to go. My kid was crying, plus dinner had just finished, so I had to go feed him. I'm going to use the Bentley, I'd rather that than the Toyota since someone else is already using it.
 
I turned away with only a couple of laps left. Mostly paying attention to GT class. Gatrs was leading for a while and then he pit and I think Blaze ended up with the win. I forget the name of the person who won LMP but it was in the Audi R8.
 
Sounds good. I plan on being there next week, God willing. USF did win, however, which made tonight a very good one.

I watched some of the game on TV. A friend of my Dad's and I personally knows USF's athletic director.
I pit a bit too late.
I came in when I had no rear tires left.
The RUF handles tire wear sooooo good.

I caught up to you but the 458 didn't handle worn tires too well, could a too stiff suspension cause that?

lol M3 was a rocket yesterday. I hit a 1.23 several times in the race after my first pit stop.

I got taken out by Fresh Seth going into the penultimate corner in a spot that LMP cars should never be overtaking:grumpy:
 
I think I will change to the Peugeot 908 HDI FAP
 
LMP drivers should have patience in the corners. Not the best place to pass when a GT driver is already hitting their apex and tracking out.
 
And sometimes it seems they try to squeeze in before the corner and end up pushing you aside into the outside of the corner. :(
 
When I was not fighting for position with someone else, I always opened path for LMP drivers by simply keeping the car on the outer side of the track. I don't believe I have done any maneuver that could raise any kind of complaint, but I might aswell be wholly wrong.

But yes, I do think LMP drivers must be PATIENT. For example, there was one time when I suddenly saw dirdiver filling my rearview. He did the right thing and kept pace until we had gone through the corner and he passed smoothly. He appeared suddenly and I hardly could do anything but to continue to do what I was doing. Hopefully, he waited for his time and we had no issues.

I believe we must have a minimun of judgement to analyze each case. If you are alone and there is faster cars fighting for position, just let them pass. On the other hand, if you are faster but slower guys are fighting, wait for a clear spot. Don't roll us like dices. I was rolled once or twice, but that things just happen. There is no one to blame.

To be fair you don't have to stay on the outside line for faster traffic if they aren't already on your inside at turn in.
 
The ridiculousness of my situation was such that i had already defended staying on the inside lane for that right hand sweeper before the last turn and still the guy insiseted on dive bombing underneath me where it was a guaranteed crash. I made it known that he couldnt pass by staying onthe inside lane....(he must have take i as a dare ololol foolish at best. and yet he still tried to pass and took me out.....It doesnt surprse me because ive race with this guy before and he never shows any patience in passing people he laways sticking his nose in where it doesnt belong risking the cars of both him and the car he just stuffed his nose in under.
 
Should be a report on stuff like that and the drivers should be penalized next race. At least one of us always saves video so there'd be evidence.
 
Yep saw the whole thing. My rule is not to take the chance in the corner if there is any kind of doubt. I have to admit though. Sometimes that rule seems to slip my mind. :dunce:
 
I wonder how I'll prepare for next pre-season, since I don't the DLC yet.. Could just join online lobbies and do that but I'd prefer practicing offline, even with the physics differences. Maybe I should just cough up the 12 bucks already :lol:

Have someone set Spa as the track in their lounge and then you can go in their lounge and they don't have to be there :)

Sorry TT13, guess I missed your post :dunce: Ill try a different car. I told gators 2 weeks ago but he never posted it. I was on vacation with crappy internet connect so I couldnt join for the last 2 weekends. But Im back now..
