The narrow streets of Italy behind us, we head East and spend the final part of this series on Japanese soil; first up: Tsukuba!

Rules:
Use the car and setup you have opted for, following the rules outlined in the AMC Thread.

Discuss only T-times.
Clean OLR Standards:
No wall touching.
Keep 2 wheels on the track or rubblestrips at all times: 3 wheels on the dirt, grass, sand or anything else that isn't the track and rubblestrip, and it's a dirty run. Run off areas bounded by lines are considered 'off track'.

No hybrids
No Cheating of any kind

Time Submission:
Send your time via PM to me, including splits and final run.

Submit the time listed in replay file name by 11:59 AM (PST) October Sunday 23rd. You may run as often or as little as you like; you've got the full week to perfect your setup and gain the fastest single lap that you can.

Although I'd prefer it if drivers didn't re-send multiple times (it may cause a mix up with what is considered your final and fastest run), this is only a loose rule ... you can submit more than once before the deadline, just try not to bury me

Well I spent about 15 mins as well but I was able to do more then 5 laps.

Although I haven't spent much time on this I'll be surprised if I'm able to improve.

13.964. Apparently you have that Chevell hooked up. I may go back to the shop and mess with the Downforce, ballast, and TCS. Maybe I should actually use the rumblestrips, too.

Hey all, I forgot (during my wrs fiasco) to post my new upgrades on my 69 Vette:

I am driving the Yellow '69 (C3) Vette with these upgrades specs:

$5,250 HP
- 4,700 NA I
- 50 Oil Change
= 500 Left Over

$14,000 Non HP
- 4,600 Triple Plate Clutch
- 1,000 Racing Flywheel
- 1,200 Rear Wing
- 6,200 Sport Soft Tires (S3)
- 1,100 Weight Reduction I
= 400 Total Left Over

I traded in my carbon driveshaft, as it was a disappointment, and bought a 1,200 wing and upgraded my clutch to a triple plate, both excellent ideas for this Tsukuba week .

Awesome, this track will be great for my car. (I hope). I need to claw back 400$+ to overtake Koly and slam her back to 6th place where she belongs! It's going to be impossible, because Koly is that fast I can't even keep up, so I guess I'll have to resort to putting sugar in her tank.

Casio, She's a woman on fire....actually a tigershark...I think she can smell the blood in the water and she's going to shred any of us she gets close enough to to get a whiff of. So...my only hope of not getting eaten alive is to outrun her....if you slow down enough to put sugar in her tank she'll be close enough to take your leg off and you better hope its only one of them 'cause you can still drive one-legged (if GT4 had a clutch you'd have to swich to an automatic and then she'd tear you to pieces). Drive scared....like a shark's chasing you...it's your only chance. But it would help me if you could put yourself ahead of her (and behind me).

Well, I think I saw or read somewhere that if you pee in a bag, and throw it in the water, sharks go for it because it contains blood, or something like that. Either way, I'm probably going to have a great deal of it when Koly comes up at light-speed and starts mauling my leg off! Lucky I drive auto anyway, so if it's not to much trouble, I'd like to keep my right leg please.

Well I just gave this a go ... mayyyuunnn, I am getting tired of these ass heavy cars!!! Tsukuba and I go way back ... way back to when I took a mini to it in my first OLR and it owned my a$$. And it's been owning my a$$ ever since 🤬

Really struggling here, but I have some splits on the board:
T1: 14.217
T2: 32.037

I've been .2 faster at T1, so I should be able to crawl up there a little, but I'm not good at keeping this thing pointing where it should be

Looks like I need at least 0.7s (the 0.5 I'm already behind + 0.2 that she's seen...we all know she'll find a way to get it) or I'm going to be eaten alive...I guess I better swim (drive) faster?

I guess if I don't find (develop....whatever) an "A" game pretty doggone quick you guys can just call me "chum". I guess that what's they mean by a sitting duck...just paddling along with out a worry in the world until some shark snatches it right of the top of the water...feathers and all. Maybe if I booby trap the duck.... If I'm goin' down in this series, I'm goin' down fighten. The past couple of weeks I was a little limited on time...but I don't think I coulda done better anyway. This week and the next 2 I might just ignore the Nurb and focus (another pun? see signature) on AMC...at least until I'm satisified I've given it all I've got. If you beat me in this series you'll have weathered my best.

Well I'm a shark well behind the swimmer right now and it's clearly who gets to the shore first. You've got a decent lead on me and there are plenty of weeks for it to swing either way ... unfortunately strewn with tracks I really have little or no experience on. This one, hopefully, will go down to the wire.

It's probably going to be close but you have me by several places in the drag event which has me worried. Some of the people between us there don't even appear to be competing in the series anymore. I'm just barely ahead of you at the Nurb by about 1s. Which I know you'll find a way to make up that ground so I've got to shave some time too. Weeks 6, 7 & 8??? Who knows. Looks like you have me at Tsukuba....for the moment.

**EDIT: actually out of the 3 currently between us only Lewie seems to have dropped out?.... So maybe it's not as bad as I thought but it's still 3 people and $400 **

And I really wanted to run Tsukaba!

Goix, yes, you've analyzed the situation well ... I know I can run the Ring point-to-point faster, perhaps even a second faster, but thus far all of my attempts to do so have failed ... so maybe you'll hold onto that one. If I can hold onto the Drag Strip difference, then we're definitively looking at the last 3 races of the season ... down to the wire, for sure!
