Seriously though, a lot of people like the Playseat Challenge because for $200 you get a chair too, albeit essentially a camping chair but it's complete if you don't have a chair already. However, GT Omega is the next level up in terms of quality and price point, after that is Next Level Racing and really high end stuff.

Right now they're having a big holiday sale and the GT Omega Apex Stand that I bought for $160 (sale from $200) is now $130. That's the best deal out there right now so long as you don't need a chair as well. I have the Apex Stand and it's perfect for everything we do. When you're ready they have additional parts to assemble a fully realized rig with attached seat and frame. All that together is still cheaper than the fancy stuff

Good to know. I'm very happy with my classic version, but was waiting for another sale and buy/try out the Apex. Give my son the classic :lol:

My rig has a different tv/monitor mount, and the frame is built out of Schedule 40 pipe.

The version II I build is built out of Schedule 7 pipe and a NICE mount for tv.

Both have a Hyundai Tucson bucket seat.
