I truly hope the american version of the game retains the original soundtrack. I don´t want to see any outrgeous, stupid list of licenced music on this game :(

Anyone have info on that?

By the way, it seems the japanese sountrack will be released on Dec 22, yay :)

No, I 100 % disagree. I didn't hate the GT3 soundtrack, it had alot of good game music which can make the game more fun and even if we, the die hard fans, who might not like the music don't make up the 90% of the people who are going to buy the american game. PD would be stupid to make a game without music that would appeal to Americans at large.

I actually quite liked it too. I wouldn't say it's racing music, but it was still good. If you don't like it. Turn it off and put the radio on or put in a CD. Simple. I'd like to see bands and/or artists that I've heard more of.

My GT4 sound track will just be the screaming sounds of my Mercedes Mclaren SLR's super charged V8. My music will be turned off like all my racing games.

Yes, until such a time where consoles can play saved music and games at the same time, then I'll probably be using a CD player in conjunction with GT4.

I don´t think that´s the full list, but it seems to be the US soundtrack version.

Ever heard of XBox?

Same here. 95% of the time, I find the music a distraction/waste. Once in a while, I feel like some more relaxed driving and want to put on music. But even in that case, I'd rather make use of my music collection than the game's stuff. Papa Roach? No thanks.

Wow, I Look at this thread, and there's 11 posts and 111 views. It's time to add 1 to this 1, you dig?

I've always thought that when it comes to music, usually rock and electronica (meaning, techno, dance, trance, and all that) made for actual music to race to. Hip-hop isn't a bad choice either. Myself, personally, I'm not a serious rock fan either. I've grown up with hip-hop, then went on to electronica since getting into the WipeOut series and watching AMP on MTV back then.

And sure that a lot of us Americans are the pop-rock type of people. A big bunch of America is into stuff like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, and that sort of thing. But you have to remember, 96 rumored songs mean that a person can find a type of music to get into. So it goes back to my "something for everyone" argument. What's great for one person isn't going to be great for many others. You can't tell me that a person into Destiny's Child (Houston's own!) or Ludacris is going to enjoy Papa Roach and some rock group that starts with "The..." and never heard of at all. So as long as PD has many music choices, all is good. Just find what you like and play the game.

Of course, if you don't like music playing in the game, this doesn't apply to you. But for the rest of us, you either love this music lineup, or loathe this music lineup.

Ive actually really enjoyed the music that has been in the GT4 demos so far, especially the Japanese demo that is available now.

Then again I enjoy all genres of music.

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

I really like that techno music from that GT trailer! I think that kind of a soundtrack is GREAT! :O 👍 And about that list posted before, I am not very familiar with most of those bands, but at least I get to know how they sound when GT4 comes out.

Racing games are better played without the distraction of music I reckon, but if I do listen to any it has to be rock. Its the best to race to, and I hate all that techno dance rubbish :yuck:

the perfect soundtrack for me goes:

vrooooom, vrrrrrrooooooooommmmmm,vvvvvvvrrrrrrroooooooommmmmmmmm! :)

I hated the fact that the American version of GT3 got Snoop Dogg and Lenny Kravitz, while us Europeans got stuck up with "Feeder" and that kind of music. I really hope that this time they realise that stereotyping is wrong.
I want some good music, preferably with a descent beat. Some R&B would be cool for the more relaxed driving.

i also loved the feeder tracks in gt3 hopefully there will be more

:D

i also like techno & dance stuff so that wud b kewl also

Me too, but I'll only hear them on replays.

I don´t have music on when i´m racing, only in the menus(And sadly the menumusic in GT3 & GT4P was the worst crapmusic i ever heard)so i just turn of the ****tymusic and turn on a good cd instead(But 99% of the time i just wanna hear the engines)

I hope there will be some heavy metal classics, not too heavy, but the good ones for driving. Like "Aces Of Spades" by Motörhead, or "The Trooper" from Iron Maiden.

Another idea (or dream :) would be Fu Manchu. They play a lots of muscle car and drag racing themed songs. Songs like Superbird, Hell On Wheels, Boogie Van, King Of The Road. Driving the 454 Chevelle and listening King Of The Road... That would be the perfect style. Leave Daiki Kasho or whoever for driving a Daihatsu Midget. :)

Sure X-Box can, but not everyone is fortunate to have more than one console. And the GT series is for PS/PS2, not X-Box. I was meaning that by a particular date, all consoles will have that feature (by default), which will still be a few to several years away (for example: PS3, X-Box2, [insert whatever Nintendo decides to cook up here]; all having that same capability, which is still probably unlikely).
