An observation, if you will

Has anyone else noticed how stupid these "favorite avatar" threads are. Aside from giving me a good signature quote, they make no sense.

The reason that they make no sense is because when someone changes their avatar, the posts in these threads make no sense whatsoever (due to the change in the avatar being talked about).

Thus, I suggest that there be a rule against these threads.

Thank You

Right on target Stratos.

It doesn't take much cognitive capacity to get that avatars change, and thus links to them change unless it's an attached one.

And this goes in the Q&Q forum.

You crack me up. Like that.

If I cared I would agree with you 100% 👍

[sarcasm]Have you guys noticed that people have been falsely advertising what's in their threads or making worthless threads. After you've visited them you feel used in some way??[/sarcasm] :odd:

There are a heap of completely useless threads in the Rumble Strip. And Sunny is starting to clutter up the Computers & Tech forum with threads like "Post you favorites menu" and "Your Top 5 Apps". Who honestly cares about what sites you visit and what apps you use?

That's because it is out of power. The mods are the only ones who can deal with them, but they aren't exactly spam as such.

Well, an avatar thread seems to come up every few months, along with the "how did u get ur nickname?" thread, and the always popular "when can i change my title thingy?" question.

The point is, these are topics that would be probably be "stickyed", but then you'd have to scroll down just to read the latest thread.

So do I. But this thread is really dumb. And besides, if the complaint is "you don't know what avatar they're talking about because it changes" why ban the threads? Why not ask that people be intelligent and attach the avatar they're refering to to the post in which they do the refering? OH MY GOSH! That would just make too much sense.

It would give some people extreme headaches trying to save a gif or jpg or whatever to like My Pictures or to an Untitled folder on an Apple and then browse their computer to attach the images  Where is the Excedrin Migraine? I am starting to get a headache thinking about going through that whole process myself. . .

Freaking 80 minutes to install a freaking driverr for this guy. . . now that is a headache - morons. . .
