Well, this a pretty long and complex story, but i feel like telling it anyways...

I made a last minute deal with another user here at the forum about a trade before the trade limit was activated. I had several X1 i wanted to get of my hand and he was kind enough to trade for a R8 LMS, which i really wanted. Then another guy claimed the dude i made a deal with for a scammer and told me to check his post history. So i went and checked all of his previous post, but found nothing that supported that other guys theory. Then, when we were about to trade, the guy with the R8 said that he was unable to gift the car 'cause of the limit. But i knew that the limit hadn't been activated yet, since several of my other friends were stil trading expensive cars. So i claimed him for a scammer and traded with someone else.

The next day, I got a message saying he was sending the R8 while i was grinding b-spec and was out of the room. When i returned he had gifted me the car. I was of course unable to gift him my X1, since i had traded with another after accusing him of being a scammer, and I thought that he was after all lying to me before, so he got a taste of his own medicine. After a lot of back and forth, i realised that the limit he was talking about the other day was the one-trade-per-day-limit. He was legite the whole time. Now i feel really, really bad because i couldn't hold my end of the deal. Poor goy really wanted the X1!

**** you, PD.

And to everyone claiming this was a communication problem: of course it was, he lived in the opposite side of the planet, he in USA and me in Norway, and with a very time sensitive matter due to a sertain limit, it caused preoblems. Point is; none of this would have happend if it wasn't for the new limit.

You're right. The trade limit thing is bad. They should just do away with trading all together, and that would fix all of these trading problems people are complaining about.

Why bother plugging the holes on a boat that's already sunk?

it sounds more like a badly organised trade rather than an example of the trade limit being bad. how didnt the guy know he had already traded that day? not that im any fan of the trade limit:)

It's not a perfect example and does this really deserve a thread? GT5 forum has turned into post your random thoughts in a new thread forum.

Isn't this the same thing as saying something like "STOP sign is a bad thing because I just ran over one with my car which dented my bumper"?

Like the post you just posted. That is what a forum is.

He responded to your topic, then asked if it was necessary.

Similar stories have been posted before. Just because you can post whatever you want doesn't mean you should.

Does this offer any new insight to the already ongoing discussions? Could you have posted it in a thread already being used to discuss the trade limits? Does it need it's own thread all to it's own?
