One of my favorite anime series last year was Lycoris Recoil. So I went ahead and finally made some liveries for it. I tried choosing cars as if they're the equivalent of 'spirit-animals' but with cars, to coincide with each of the 3 girls' characteristics.

Here's my next Honkai Impact 3rd itasha: featuring Raiden Mei in her Herrscher of Thunder form. By far, she's the most extensive and time-consuming in bringing into the game (27 pieces to be exact, though I need to fine-tune one of them for use by others).

I'll try to release the livery and decal links in a short time; there's seems to be some issues with loading the former ATM.

UPDATE (2/17/24): Livery link is up, also did some slight modifications for better flow and visibility to other drivers.

It seemed like a good idea before I made it—Both the Toyota FT-1 and the Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt anime were made by the Japanese who leaned heavily into an American aesthetic. The Toyota FT-1 was styled by Toyota's CALTY Design Studio in California, and the PSG anime clearly draws inspiration from American cartoons like The Powerpuff Girls. They're also both a little controversial, with the FT-1 Gr.3 being a result of the contentious VGT programme, and the show for its crude humour and inconsistent quality between episodes. But gosh darnit, do they both look good!

With both the shutdown of GT Sport's servers and PSG Season 2 announced, I thought to make a livery using GT Sport's fan–made search engines for decals to make a PSG livery. Some of these decals I still haven't been able to find in GT7, and it's such a shame PD opted to go for a closed API system for GT7.

Turns out, it wasn't really a good idea for two reasons: the livery doesn't photograph well, though I really like seeing it in motion. The second reason is that this car drives HORRIBLE! I'd never have spent the better part of five days on it if I had knew prior! It used to handle really well in GT Sport!

In spite of its flaws with consistency, I really enjoyed the better parts of the PSG anime. It seemed like one of those ideas that came up when drunk in a drinking session, and somehow got greenlit. It isn't afraid to be different, wasn't afraid to try to hit a few sombre and serious notes at times in spite of that, looks great in my opinion, and has a banger of a soundtrack. It certainly isn't for everyone, but if you're looking for something different in the anime industry full of safe, derivative slop, I recommend giving PSG a try.

Also, a cute anime girl holding a Katana instantly melts my insides. She doesn't even have to do anything. It's not even fair.
