Annoying AI exhaust sound

Does anyone else find it annoying that the AI is running loud exhaust.
I race mostly stock cars and driving in a field of tuned up AI cars i often find i can't hear my own engine, hitting the rev limiter and missing downshifts.

doing 24h lemans right now... all cars are louder than my 787B Mazda... bit strage

Yes, especially the Enzo when i'm doing the ferrari event.

When you are driving by yourself, if you have the race sound set to 10, your car will take up the entire volume range.

When in a race around other cars, the game attempts to even out the volume for the cars around you, including your car, but it overcompensates somehow and makes the surrounding cars louder.

I think it might have something to do with how many sounds the PS3 can play at one time, so to overcome that issue some of the sounds get drowned out.
