Annoying Glitch...

Okay, I've had this glitch for about a year now, and even today, it still restricts my tuning opportunities.

Simply, I cannot tune the transmission of ANY car that hasn't got a 6 speed gearbox as standard. I have no idea why, and it's frustrating. Whenever I try and click on the little spanner, the whole game freezes and I have to manually exit the game via the PS button.

Anyone else have the same glitch / a work around?

EDIT: Could someone else add me on PSN to also tune my transmission for me?

I've never had this problem . Try uninstalling and reinstalling GT5 , could be used to solve problems , try, it costs nothing .

But doesn't that get rid of all of your data, including your cars?

Your cars are in the save-game. As long as you make back-up, I think you should be good.

Could someone tell me how to make a backup? Don't you need a USB stick?

GT5 keeps it's own backup save file. If you look where your saves are, you'll find Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 5 (Backup).

GT5 Game Data is different from GT5 Save Data. Game Data is what the game uses to load tracks and cars, etc. Save Data is what the game uses to store your ever-expanding garage and list of items. As long as you don't touch the Save Data, you'd be fine with un-installing and re-installing GT5.

It just takes ages downloading all the patches again. But well just leave the console on and go do something else

Keep in mind that you'll lose your in game pictures, replays and custom tracks.

Unstalling, you will lose some things all what i can remember is your museum will be lost.
