Whatever PSN-relating things you need to do, do them fast.

EDIT: An update from Anonymous:

"I think people misunderstood: DID WE SAY WE WERE HACKING PSN??! We're hacking the SONY network and exploiting its servers. NOT PLAYSTATION NETWORK. If I see any comments again, I'm deleting it...just like SOPA would do."

It seems as though PSN is NOT going to be attacked by Anonymous, just "the SONY network". Dismiss my original message.

These guys are a bunch of douchebags, but whatever. Sony Electronics removed their support for SOPA.

We are many
We are legion
We are microsoft.......er

Those guys are funny.

Yeah.. right. They won't succeed, it was 3 days ago by the way.

They're not attacking PSN, just Sony's network and servers it seems.

:dunce: They must have updated the description between the time when I first saw the video last night to the time when I submitted it. Thanks for the clarification. 👍

Oh well, if it does go down again i'm gonna be prepared...Uncharted 3, Batman Arkham City, Portal 2 and Skyrim :)

SOPA is bad but people will find workaround as David Ulevitch from OpenDNS says
Americans may simply switch to offshore DNS providers such as CloudFloor who offer encrypted links, entrepreneurs might also move offshore. "We can reincorporate as a Cayman Islands company and offer the same great service and not be a U.S. company anymore.

So what I don't understand is Sony and only Sony THE biggest problem for Anonymous? What about Microsoft? They don't support SOPA you tell me. Ok but wake up folks they have the bloody OS monopoly from years. They rule whole World. How many "Windows" we bought and have to buy in our life?
I already have 4 of them Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7. I already gave them a good ammount of money. I don't this it's fair they pretend further. Why not Anonymous use their skills and help Ubuntu/Linux devs to finally become a serious alternative? Something that all the people can use, solving all those compability issues and making it more user friendly.. That's what the community needs. I'm sure they already know what I'm talking about, but they do nothing so I'm quite suspicious about these "Anonymous", maybe there's someone behind them.

Bunch of pathetic virgins, why they can't just get a job like all other normal folk is beyond me.

They don't need a job when they have the ability to steal £1m from a bank and give it to charity

Yep, I was wandering the same. Ok Sony is bad, but why they don't warn Microsoft or EA? Why only Sony? I guess there's someone behind them.

That's what I wonder. Microsoft Corporation is proudly on that list, Sony have allegedly backed off but whatever, how come this Anonymous never seem to target MS? I feel it would be much better to go after Microsoft.

They won't succeed?? They've hacked into government websites and if they hacked sony before then they can do it again
Well after April last year, Sony upped their servers security, including an early warning detection system. If Sony saw this video, I think they are pretty prepared for an attack on their servers.

And any charity that accepts such a donation needs to be abolished and the owners strung up by their nuts. Hackers are pathetic, they are scum and nothing more. I hate them with a passion as they offer nothing to the world.

Do you know anything about anonymous? They're like robin hood, they steal for the rich and give to the poor, they are on the innocent people's side

Anonymous are on their own side. They don't care who they affect when they attack their targets.

They're like spoiled kids. I guess they haven't been getting quite enough attention for their tastes lately, so they're acting up to get some. Yawn.

These guys are a bunch of thieves. The only thing there fighting for is to keep stealing. If you think they care about anything else your lying to yourself.

But they exposed a bunch of credit card details when hacking PSN, details that belong to innocent people...

Sounds to me like you are for their actions which in my book makes you the same as them. Theft is theft and it can never be acceptable. Hackers are scum. End of.

Anonymous never seem to target where the problem began. Didn't the government make the SOPA bill and companies then showed support if this? If so, anonymous is targeting the wrong people. If they've gotten through government security before, I'm sure they can do it again to exploit the supporting officials. Its like a guy starts a fight and the person defending himself gets the blame.

What anonymous does doesn't benefit anyone. Hell, I don't even think it benefits themselves unless they're getting personal info. To me, they hack just to hack and try to pin what they did on some so called "unethical business practice." Whatever. What comes around goes around.

I hope that the servers stay up and hopefully the hackers get caught. I hate hackers they only piss people off. As others have mentioned it is weird that they target Sony and not Microsoft

Anonymous - an unorganised group performing illegal events hoping good will come out of it.

or rather...

Anonymous - an unorganised group in which the members perform illegal events to achieve a mis-placed feeling of self importance or power, or to try and quench their own personal thirst for rebellion and chaos.

That's what I thought, Microsoft is a bigger company why not go after them? I can't stand hackers either, I hope they get caught and throw in jail.

This has been said before (see above) but what gets me is that if they really are such fantastic altruistic hackers why the hell are they targeting Sony?! Why not Microsoft (the king of plagiaristic marketing and development)? Hey, why not make some real change and go after the government?
Nothing says "maligned pimple-faced 14-year old" more than Anon's apparent motives.
Pfft - Robin Hood?
If you've seen any videos of Geohot, I think that's a pretty good indication of what we are dealing with in Anonymous: bored immature kids with too much time on their hands and a vain desire to be notorious for no apparent reason.
