Anonymous is initiating an attack against Sony network and servers

I think I'd blame that one on LulzSec, rather than Anonymous.

Yea I know LulzSec would of stolen the details if possible but anonymous would never steal details off the innocent, anonymous are just like you and me, the only difference is they stand up and fight back

Anonymous never seem to target where the problem began. Didn't the government make the SOPA bill and companies then showed support if this? If so, anonymous is targeting the wrong people.

Yes but Sony know that anonymous have the power to shut them down again so anonymous are using it as more of a threat and they have sent messages to the government telling them that they are against Sopa and they will fight back if this goes through

Please, do not insult those of us who have IQ's in triple digits. We are nothing like Anonymous and for you to compare us against them is an absolute insult. What you basicly state from that is that deep down we are all thieves who want to cause chaos and misery to as many people as possible. I do however stand up and fight back - against thieves and those who support them. Makes me sick that we share the same nationality.
 
I don't agree with the means they use to do this stuff, but they do have good motive for doing things like that. Also, I'm pretty sure you have to be pretty smart to know how to hack stuff like that, just saying. Plus there are government officials that hack other governments computer databases everyday, even military officials. Are you calling those people, who are sanctioned by higher authority, scum as well? Someone's getting a little mad at hackers there.
 
You can't compare the government and the millitary to a bunch of spotty virgins doing it for kicks and robbing innocent people. Government officials do it for national security reasons, hackers do it because they can and because they have nothing better to do with their sad little lives. So yes, i am mad at hackers, infact i hate them with every fibre of my body and i would gladly serve a lengthy sentance for what i'd be willing to do to them in a locked room.

Wow you just don't understand anonymous, they WILL NOT steal from the innocent without a proper reason and if anything then it's the government robbing us of our free rights and anonymous are fighting to get them back for us, if Sopa goes through then they can shut down millions of sites that you use every day, how would you like that? Exactly.

Wait, how can you say Anonymous will not do anything? They are not really a unified group at all. People can branch in and out at their own will, and they will do anything that a group representing them is capable of, if they want to.

You need to learn the difference between a true crusade of human rights and a bunch of bedroom bound kids out to cause havoc because they don't quite like how a global corporation is run. Free rights, human rights, essentialy the same thing. Your argument holds about as much water as a stocking. None of us want or need these morons 'fighting' for us, most people here seem to be on the side of disliking them and what they do because they can see it is wrong on every level. We don't need a bunch of kids 'fighting' for us. They are just pests, complete menaces and are out to cause distruption and nothing more but they will release these so called statements to make gullable people think they are doing it for our own good. I don't need other people doing stuff for me apart from those who i decide to put an X next to on ellection day.

I'm sorry but what was Anonymous fighting for when they took the PSN network down? Linux on a video game console? Really? And that's important to the human race how?
Don't get me wrong, I'm against SOPA too and I'd love to see an intelligent organized hacker group taking on the modern day Goliaths. But I dare anyone to reason how Anonymous fits into the list of selfless Human Rights Activists.

Maybe Anonymous just needs better PR... :sick:

You may not realise but society is made up largely of law abiding folk who go out each morning, carry out a mundane job and take home an honest wage. These people including myself have no interest in such activities as hacking because IT'S ILLEGAL. Law abiding folk don't do illegal things or support them no matter how they try to dress up their silly little youtube videos. You've got a hell of a lot left to learn about society and respect and the difference between fighting for freedom and just being a criminal.
