It's possible with a FR too. Its an extreame extension to a chokudori. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, but you can achieve that move by holding the ebrake at the end of the drift to swing the rear out and continue to hold the ebrake and turn the wheel to get the car's momentum to swing you back straight.

You drift the corner normally, but at the end you turn in and pull ebrake and continue to steer with the ebrake until ur momentum brings you back.

There is a video I made with an RX7, I think its called "*ReverseIt*" something like that, don't know if its still up though but it shows this ebrake technique.

hrmm...i dont believe i've ever done that before..but im gonna try it as soon as i get home from school (and then work) O_O!!!!

I wasn't stating that you couldn't do it, but I was saying earlier that it's not really a drift, you're just sliding and then correcting. Same principal as a FWD grabbing the e-brake, letting it slide ways (perpendicular to the road) then turning the wheels and letting it straighten up.

I've done it before by accident but I didn't think of it as anything spectacular. Maybe I should record me doing it and post it twice to try to impress everyone.

i did one a long while back with my now gone lanevo IV, on laguna secas first hairpin. on the analyzer replay it showed that i actually got backwards...i wish i saved it now...but oh well.
i tired many more times but never achieved the same result, i think its more of a fluke on my behalf.

I have that vid on my HD, it's a nice little vid. Also, I don't think the first drift you showed was a mistake, I just think it's too easy to pull off drifts like that with an AWD car. I'm going to have to agree with pRaHjeC. try to drift some FR cars, and get sick angles, then I will give you props. ;)

i have a video of this done in real life, to a much higher degree...i guess i could upload it sometime.

Good job minihux. Although your drifts may seem unconventional, I think it takes some skill to drift like that.

Props 👍

"Never mistake lack of creativity for sheer genius" - unknown

It looked like the same clip.....like I said:

If you did it by accident, perfected it, laid it to tape before you did your first posting of the vid....kudos.

If you did it by accident, and perfected it later to "prove a point"....good job, you created a style. That's a beautiful thing in itself.

It doesn't make a difference whether or not it was originally by accident, on purpose, or what. Do it on multiple corners, with different cars, different drive trains.....mix it in a serious drifting vid with other types of drifts, and I'm sure you will be reckognized for it with all the props you deserve.
The most important thing here is: Can you integrate it into your style. If your "style" is to just do one type of drift on one corner with one car........that's not style. That's stagnation. The purpose of these threads is to help you drift better....that's why we post our work here.

EVERYBODY has been dogged on once or twice. Take advice as given, and don't read into it too much. I think you are on to something, but I would like to see you develop, and cultivate it into something good before I make any kind of decision about what kind of drifter you are.

I've got that vid. ;)

hi guys...

ok im not sure why some people still dont get it....please take the word accident out of anything u write the first drift i done was controlled by me the 2nd video is a different one....get both the clips and play them and u will see the difference.

in the first clip my back wheels touch the the grass in this clips my wheels on touch the red and white line things.

i would like to see some other drifts like this cause there are alot people posting they can do them but with no back up to prove it.

i drift for fun....i dont care waht car im in i use to drift FR but i find 4WD more FUN....key word is fun i dont care if it does not take as much skill i do it for fun....and the Extreme dritf i done was not easy i find them hard to do and i dont e brake i only use normal break and throttle and half throttle.

thanks Thio the only one beside Catch my drift that give me serious input beside people saying do it in FR or that was an accident.

peace minihux

No offense, minihux, but if you didn't want criticism, then why did you post it? I think it's just fine that you drift AWD, so do I, and I think it's relatively fun. I'm just saying that it's not very challenging, and I enjoy a challenge.;)

no i like that those comments.......

im just getting sick of people who keep saying that it was an accident dirft when i have said count less time that its not........

they are just wasting words....there not comments there just people *****ing.

peace minihux

Uhhm.. Minihux.. That is prolly the highest angle i have seen in any drift and u have made it three (correct me if i am wrong) times. I have no doubt that u are capable of doing that over and over..

thanks you very much.......

it take me a couple goes to do it but if i want to do it i can.....and i dont use any e-brake at all...

peace minihux

i remember when playing gt1 way back, i was driving a fully tuned mitsu gto mr 95 in race mod on ssr11. after the long right hand curve i went to the first corner, got it massively sideways, it almost seemed i was going to spin out since it was so so sideways, and then all of a sudden it just corrected itself and i carried on. wierd, huh?

gt1 is a good game.......use to set the standards for graphics look at it now an we are like what the hell all i see is blocks.........lol

I'm done trying to reach you mini......It looks like all those times watching and comparing your vids was for nothing. If I would have made any kind of sense to you, these defensive comments would stop.
The more you get defensive, the more it is making your skills look very open to question.
You can't pick and choose what people are going to write. YOU posted it........now deal with the onslaught of comments. Trust me, people here have a tendancy to be BRUTALLY honest about what they think. Get used to it.

(notice I did not use the word "accident")

ok then:) , throw it open to testing by dishing out your settings for this car and let the masses "try before they buy" so to speek, also include basic technique on how you did it then every one can make an informed decision, you never know you may have descovered something that may revolutionise awd drifting;)

later:)

btw that drift angle was sick;) , the good kind of sick, not the type with chunks in:lol:

i couldn't see the video but ask cmd i drifted and started going backwards in my r34 and go out but it wa an accident.... i did this in november i think

Wow. Now thats a good drift angle. reminds me of that guy who had a vid of the 3000gt and skyline.

yeah you should man.. I wanna see this done real life.. lol.:D

I can do that pretty much on command with my R34 now and I really disbelieve that you can drift backwards like that in an FR and exit.

Nice camera btw. What year is it from, 1840?
