Another Potentially Stupid Question From AP

IS there any way to remedy the problem of my Firefox browser always opening in a non-fully-maximized window? It refuses to open in anything but a small window that takes up about 2/3 of my screen. I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but to no avail!

When you uninstalled it, did you clean the remaining parts of FireFox from the registry?

Hey, its not a silly question, the problem you are talking about is not a problem with Firefox, I think it is a Windows feature. I can't remember where the option is, but somewhere, you can select to have any window you previously had open revert to that state once its open again. I used to have the same problem with windows folders that would not open full screen. It took me awhile to figure out how and why, but I believe this solution might work...

Firstly, how do you exit Firefox? Is it with the red X in the right hand corner? If it is, that maybe the problem. The solution is simple, make sure you window is maximised, and the go to file>close (or close window). Now try opening it again, and it should, :nervous: open as you left it. I hope that helps. 👍

Windows Help (F1)
To start a program as a taskbar button or as a maximized window
Right-click the program you want to start as a taskbar button or as a maximized window.

You can find programs on the Start menu, in Windows Explorer, or in My Computer.

Click Properties, and then click the Shortcut tab.

In the Run list, click Minimized if you want the program to open as a taskbar button, or click Maximized if you want the program to open as a full-screen window.
