 Nice! You'd have to replace the suspension anyway...so it doesn't look like you're driving a 4x4. :)

Where'd the LS/VTEC turbo combo come from?

LS comes from the junkyard, the VTEC head (B16A) comes from Honda directly... i guess working in a dealer helps... ;) they're not supposed to sell the complete head/or engine, so i guess i'm lucky on that one. i've got to rebuild the internals before adding the turbo (took it from a 94 Talon Tsi) and i'll need an intercooler... should be an interesting ride once it's done.

I have a 1997 Mitsu Eclipse Spyder.

Yes I had a Civic. I have no idea why I had it. Nor why I did anything to it.

You must compare apples to apples, Streetracer. If you had a base model Civic (with a D-series motor) and compare it to a base model Eclipse - yeah, you'll be disappointed in the Civic's performance.

D-series motors are super-economy motors, and gettin better performance out of them is like performing a root canal...on yourself. :ill:

Still a Honda is a Honda. I still respect one though if I see a nice one.

They are classified as a Ricer car. To many people mess them up by putting stupid things on them. The only two Hondas I like the NSX and the S2000. Those are great Hondas.

That Eclipse is ugly. The Over Fender are odd looking

But more Civics get riced then Mitsus

Feh, I've seen worse Eclipses than that. :ill:

Still, if there are more riced out Civics then you can stand out by leaving the appearance largely stock.

<- RS77, whose Teg is visually stock except for the wheels. And they're very low key at that. :)

The ludes aren't to bad. I just never really liked them all that much.

Just put it in nutral, then rev, and shift it into drive. Works the same way as a clutch then.

*Slaps forehead*

Dumbass!! LOL

This is the real way to do it

for a FF car

-Find a wet road

-Put the 2 front tires on the wet spot

-(keep the 2 back tires on a dry spot)

-Put 2 ppl in the back seat

-Put the car in Low gear

-Yank up your E-brake

-Gas the hell outta the car

-turn steering wheel left and right to relieve pressure on the engine

and you got your automatic burnout right there...

GTO-me and my bro did a burnout in his '87 626 a while back on a wet road near us(the road is slick as hell without water). Just found the steepest hill and pulled the parking brake and floored it. speedo went up to 75(not bad for a 93HP automatic(it was later turned into a manuel)) and soon there was smoke from the tires...so then we continuined in the area doing slides and moving burnouts(had one going for a long time) even put it in reverse and did a reverse burnout(and almost lost control cause the front slid sideways and hit the curb(not the strait up and down kind, this was just a angled one but it gripped).

Then after it became a manuel(the auto lost a clutch which bored a hole in the bell of the trans)we had a big snow here...and my bro told my mom that me and him were gonna check out the streets, and we left. At the top of my street is a house used for retarded kids(not joking)and one of the grown ups there sucks at parking and parked in the middle of the street. So we were gonna turn on the main road here, and saw that several of the people were out side and watching us, so my bro revs it up and does a burnout, just shifting, the speedo shows well over 100 and we are barely moving, but then we got to the main road(after about 30 secs of burnout to get there from 3 feet away) and we hit the cleared of road and it was soo loud and smoke and we just kept it going and it stopped the burnout at about 50(speed limit is 35) and then we just drove around...even stopped to help a person that wiped out in a Maxima, and then we just went around doing burnouts...it was great.

Mazkid, damn I wish i could go do 100 mph burnouts in the ice, that mustve kick so much ass, one of those retarded kids must of gotten hurt.. :P

If you sit long enough on a wet spot doing a burnout, the water will eventually dry up inder the tires and get dry thus causing smoke, i do it all the time :P

yea, what was really funny was the car. It's a DX 626 with all of the GT and LX mods you can have, but it's still 93hp. The shocks are soft, really soft, I can push the back down like 4 inches atleast. Very fun to drive though, we did tons of funny stuff in it.

And the tires were these Hurcules crap tires, the walls were like 4 inches. The tires would peel over anything. The tread was almost as if they were warn out but they were pretty new(my uncle for some reason put those on the car, then they moved to FLA and sold us the car for $800 and they bought it from a nieghbor 2 houses down from us. But those tires made an oddly high pitched squeel, and didn't leave marks...

Good times, good times.

Yup, Yup. I was walking home from school about 3 months ago and this guy in a white Holden Commodore (about 90-93-ish)floored it and the intersection he was on was a bit damp (there was a small shower about 10 minutes prior) and there was no smoke coming from the wheels (I thought I saw some, but I think it was steam :P ) he eventually got onto a dry spot under a tree and the tires really lit up, the whole wheel-arch was full of smoke. This was infront of a whole lotta ricer-type teens, I felt proud knowing that NONE of them could do that in a ricer.

Ricers here in NZ just add external stuff (they do add stereos though) they dont do engine mods (TOO POOR!!) so they dont do good burnouts. (I classify a good burnout as one where the engine is drowning out the screech of the tires, but you arent moving :P)

-turn steering wheel left and right to relieve pressure on the engine

^^^How does that work??^^^
Wouldnt that give your cv joints a hard time as well?

Some crap as car just did a massive backfire driving past my house
