There are quite a few cars missing from GT4, but I don't think anyone's ever mentioned this one... the Esso Ultraflo Supra! It was PAL only and most of the NTSC/PAL exclusives got ported but I guess this one didn't.

If anyone's keeping a list, add this one! Does anyone remember what it was like compared to the other JGTC cars?

Googling it only brings up real life and GT4 pics, so i guess your right 👍

On a side note, who else misses Infineon :nervous:

I don't think it has an Exxon version, wouldn't it have been in GT4 NTSC then?

Also, no. I searched the database for "Superflo" as well and came up with no matches. "Esso" just got me the SLK230 Kompressor.

Isn't this just another Supra? I know it's a special one from GT4, or whatever, but at the heart of it, isn't it just another Supra?

If so, doesn't it belong with the Skylines, Miatas, etc.?

From what I understand, the JGTC and SGT cars all have slightly different handling an performance, even if they look identical.

Unless it's just a re-liveried clone of something else, I'd call it a missing car.

The cars that were in GT5 Prologue fully modeled in premium detail that are not in GT5 are the real mystery.

Umm... in GT5P, there were only 70~ cars, whereas in GT5, there is about 200~ cars.

I think I see your point?

Those would be either unliveried RMs or simply a tuned up version of the road going variant. No mystery as we already have them. :)

On topic, yes, I have noticed. There was a thread awhile back talking about this car.

Actually, he might be referring to the Subaru 22b-based WRC Rally car, if anything else. But that was GT-HD. There are a few elements on cars in GT5P that do not appear in GT5. The hood of the tuned Corvette is missing (although the tuned Corvette can be spotted in the promotional picture of the Nurburgring endurance event that isn't 24 hours, can't remember exactly how long it is). There are a few other subtle elements on some of the Tuned cars that are dropped, like the exhaust from the Renault Clio (I may be wrong on this one...).

Going to be an anal Impreza owner here and say the 22B is based on the Rally car and not the other way round :nervous:

I may be off the mark , but the 99 Impreza Rally car as it is in GT5 is the same as the 97 one that was in previous GT's.

That is horrible graphics! Even on GT4! No wonder it didn't make it to GT5. :yuck:

To be fair though you can tell it's blurred a bit. The front end is fine.

But yeah, this one was a surprise omission. I think it looked pretty decent with the livery it had. Also won in 2002 as well.

Was not meant as anything nasty , hence I called myself anal about splitting the hairs about which was first :P

TO be honest there is a heap of stuff way off about the 22B in the game anyway as there is no way on this earth the car was 280bhp in standard trime. They put one of the 22B's on a Dyno and it was already making 500bhp :scared:

When you do go into the internal view it does however put you on the left side , which was the norm for the Rally cars , where as the production cars were all RHD as Subaru never made a LHD model in what is known as the "classic" shape , also it shows the correct aero wing mirrors , rather than the larger ones you would find on the 22B , Type-R and P1.

This is a pic I took of my own P1 which shows what you would normally see

Sorry for drifting off a bit , but at least they have gotten some of the new internal view right for the Impreza Rally Car 99

I really miss Infineon. It used to be my test/tune track in gt4.
