Hi all.

Was just doing a race @ Fuji with my F40 for relaxing after work and after 2 laps battling for 2nd spot with 2 light blue Cali and after being pushed 2 or 3 time in curbs, one of them make me spin out atfer the start straight...... I was just pissed off and was almost quiting... I sat there a minute & thought.... I am now 1 lap behind so I am "Ghost" & "Fast" (RBE).... so now it will be my time to have fun:sly:

I waited for both of them then I drove just 1 meter ahead of their car all track long making them unable to see the track correctly (Like when you are following a ghost on Time Trial)..... I can tell you... This Is The "LETHAL WEAPON" for punters

You still can have fun and practice & I doubt those one will do this again to me 👍:cheers:

I don’t think this is the way you deal with punter. Cos that’s what they want. Just like the bully’s at school. They want, you to react. So they can response and it goes on and on.

Ignore them, just ignore them.

Why should we always sat in our car the race ruined while they have fun 💡

So I just tell them "Come here stay, I want to have fun too" :D

Sometimes it’s hard for me as well, to ignore them. But I’ll try to beat them on the track and that gives a very satisfied feeling.


Till we have private rooms we have to deal with them. That’s why I organized some sort of event on Fuji – Ferrari, couple of weeks ago. I brought together more than enough GTP-ers on the grid, (up to 14 GRP-ers on the grid) that there was no room for punters.

Awesome night of racing by the way.
 
I don't have much of value to offer as an effective remedy for punters, but since her name has been dropped here in an unfortunate context I really have to say that Natalie_1990 is one of the most respectful and decent drivers I have met out there, after numerous races where our ways have crossed.
 
Just do what I do, catch up and respond. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind, but atleast he isn't going to win.
 
I dont know is this true, but those few times when I have been in Fuji, there has been everytime some lagging.

In Suzuka I havent noticed lag at all.

Did you notice any odd movement of cars? ...maybe it was just lag again.
 
Damage will also solve this along with Priv Rooms - the moment the punter's race is ruined because of his own actions will be the day they go extinct.

BUT, I also like your idea and might just use it next time for fun. :)

Sorry, damage will make them play this like if it was brunout or NFS. They will crash just to see how awsome the crash looks like and won't give a flying **** about what happens.

Yes I'm afraid your right, I've played a lot of F1CE with damage on can be more frustrating than punters even when playing with "Friends".
 
I like to sit on their tails through the twisties and watch them try to defend their line... funny stuff as they usually end up making a fool of themselves and spear of the track.
You just have to be aware of brake tests, and also lag so its not you that ends up being a punter.

I do that also, but mostly to anyone I am toying around with.
 
Players with lesser skills/cars use this tactic, and it's really annoying. Just make sure you're not ruining any legit player's race with this tactic, please.

i raced with them two on fuji and they were abit harsh but in a mans world isnt that good to see women are just as good or bad as men

Why can't punters have race points taken away from them, say they punt someone and gain a place and it finishes that way. They loose say 20,000 points, you know kick them where it hurts. Im sure this will help stop the punters.
 
I can second the comment about Natalie1990 - found myself in a string of races with her in recent times and never found her displaying anything but clean, hard, respectful racing.

Seems to me that lag has more to do with incidents than we might think.

Unless you see racers purposefully trying to take each other out, or cut the chicane (noticed that a few times at Fuji), I'd err on the side of caution. If people see you reacting badly to an 'incident' they are more inclined to behave badly too.
 
Guys, please make sure that this thread doesnt turn into another arguement about punting or punters. There's been plenty of threads before, and they've been closed. Just a little warning. 👍

My concern is if the noobs see GTP tagged guys doing this they will think it's allright to do it as well please dont encourage such behavior. It is very distracting for a lapped car to race with you.

This is true but if someone tryed to bully me i'd just knock them out!!
 
What I do is take turns slower than normal on purpose.
When I see a punter coming in fast behind me, I speed up, dodge him and he goes off the track.

It works VERY well if done right.
 
Well i no longer don the GTP tag because my ps3 was stolen, when i came back online the rules for GTP tags changed..... and i don't have time to do it right now.

it is horrible i drive my lines.. and they are just all over the place.. its annoying. to them it makes me seem like its on purpose because im driving much faster and they brake to early.

I know im faster than all of them.. so it doesn't matter to me.. they see it
 
The best way to deal with a punter (imo), race hard ,clean,and get the victory,when they see your name on top after the end of a race , it will make them think.
 
I race hard and clean..but when a dude wipes you out on the last lap after the Mega out of no where catch up lol..... you have no time to come back.

i love when im spun out on the first lap.. and then they see me win.... what you said imagine is very true. I then get messages asking me .......... " so there are cheat codes on this game"

LOL.

i guess i need to practice with that darn Rx-7........ I don't play GT much as i have a busy drift schedule here in japan .. but damn man... it sucks when i want to have good clean races.

one easy tactic is to simply brake very very early. they may bump you, but if timed correctly you can have them miss then you can get revenge. I have this tactic pretty much nailed down nd it feels very good to make these people look like fools.
