I'm thinking of starting a website, and there's so many places to choose from. Geocities, tripod, and a few others have caught my attention, however, i'm looking for more specific advice from GTP members who have or share homemade websites.
It'll be text-based like my current website, but with a few graphics, too (mostly from GT races from my replays, and Gran Turismo garage shots).
I don't need it to be highly technical...what i'm most concerned about is stability. Which sites look like they'll be around for years? I don't want to start a site with some web-based company that's gonna fold (or has some problems i can't forsee). I'm deathly afraid that i'll start a site, you see, and within a few months, all the text, code, and links i've created will be gone overnite or something, as the host will have vanished or decided not to support writers like me or something.
. The link in my sig below is my current (all-text, cheapie) website.
