I did a quick search but didn't see anything on this.

Just wondering if there are any American McGhee's Alice fans on here. I played it first years ago (when it first came out in PC) and loved it, but never got round to finishing it. I just played though it on X360 a it came free with Alice: Madness Returns (AMD).

I had forgotten how good it was, yes it is very dated now, but I really enjoyed it. I'm working my way through AMD now and really appreciate the advancements in games over the past 10 years.

I love the atmosphere these games have. They are not the best games, but damn good anyway. They are also quite difficult on 'nightmare' difficulty, haven't tries any other settings yet though.

Any one else play these?
 
I've played and finished the original Alice on PC a few years ago and i thought it was awesome. The PS3 version is pretty bad unfortunately with awful controls and BAD framerate drops. Thankfully, the sequel plays fine and i thought it was pretty good but IMO, the original is still better.

Really? While the old Alice is very dated and the transition from keyboard and mouse to controller isn't great, it seemed ok on X360.

I keep going back to AMD now. Will give up on a certain section after 10+ attempts, only to go back and keep trying. Mark of a good game to me.

I saw some gameplay videos of the X360 version of American McGee's Alice and it didn't have the really bad framedrops that the PS3 version had. Alice Madness Returns on PS3 is fine though but i don't think i will replay the game after finishing it.
 
Loved the first one.

Second one, i will get at a later moment. Too many games out that I want to play first
 
Started playing Alice on the PS3... The game looks pretty good for what 11 years old? 👍 👍

However the poor controls and outdated level design make for a frustrating mess and I've considered just giving up on it at one point last night. But I'm sure I'll give it another go tonight.

Does the first Alice need to be played to understand whats happening in Madness Returns?
