I wonder if certain players online, such as the one who races exclusively for pink slips, pose to be girls in order to be thought less of and win more often.

Hustling, if you will.

I've had the comical thought of beginning a "Girl's Only" online race in hopes that it might improve my chances of winning. I haven't followed through but the "Girls Only" race that currently exists might be a guy who had the same idea.

My wife is quite a hardcore gamer (mostly action RPG's and such) but her GT5 experience started and ended with taking the wheel for a minute or two and slamming into a wall...

I would actually like to know that too.
I knew some "girls" (more women) playing SOCOM II on the PS2, but never met any who like racing games, or cars in general. Not that I care about the gender of the people I race against, but it would be nice to know how many female drivers there are.

When you start seeing 7min laps of Nordschleife in a Fiat 500, you know a girl is playing... Sabine Schmitz that is.

My mrs sometimes has a wee shot on the licenses and she enjoyed it bought her a few cars to race aswell she completed the sunday cup all 3 races :)

I spend alot of time playing games doesnt bother my mrs and if it did she would certainly let me know

You should know better, this is gtplanet after-all.

Cut him a little slack, even an in browser spell check wasn't going to catch that.

...And there's no hyphen in "after-all", smarty pants!

There can be (I think).

The reason I did it was because I have seen him a few times having a go at someone for meaningless spelling and grammatical mistakes.

My girlfriend had a go at GT5. A few, to be precise. She spends most of her time painting cars, though.

Strangely, alll of my 'girly colours' were gone afterwards

He was enforcing the AUP, no txt speak, most likely (like 'u', 'r' and the like). Either way, no need to act like a spelling nazi.

Shouldn't have let her save the colors. Who doesn't want a pink LF-A?

Here's a radical though: stop playing and start paying some attention to her.

 I thought it was moderation? I do both and I'm no rush to get married?

I personally have not met anyone that is female and plays GT5 and think it's fun. :(. Wish I was still a college student or surrounded by a more geeky profession. I used to play poker professionally and I usually ran from women at the table . Honestly, women there were wired differently than men <<This is not meant to be sexist...what I mean is that I'm a man and I have absolutely no experience of being a woman. <<<Why don't I dig a hole? <<< Hopefully, women see this as a sign of respect because uhhh, I do respect the challenge of playing against women. Seriously.

You were warned that sexist comments would result in this thread being closed. It would appear that some people haven't been listening.
