No, the prize money hasn't been downgraded yet from what i've seen. It was supposed to return to normal at the end of January, but for some reason it didn't.

Agreed, I believe people are thinking it will be a big update with all new stuff but think about it this way. Last update was called "Huge" from the words of PD and all that was in it was online dealer and seasonal races. Their doesn't seem to be to much buzz about this update from PD so i don't think it will be anything special.

It did fix a lot of little things. One example I found very useful was the garage sorting. I want it sorted by "Make", not the default "Date Acquired". It drove me nuts when it reset to default everytime I went to the garage. The patch means I only have to do it once after switch on. Lots of little things like that.

Hey guys, I haven't updated to 1.05 due to me not having a PS3 yet as Im waiting for a new PS3, if I update to 1.06, Will I recieve the content from the last update such as the Online Dealership and Seasonal Events?:dunce:

What if they kill wall riding on Indy! I heard they were changing crash physics and 'cheating' shortcuts.
Then we can't autogrind 20m credits a night anymore!

I've been doing this since A-Spec level 36.5. I'm now 39.3 so I'm hoping for at least a couple more weeks :sly: because after that I'll just B-Spec Dream Car Championship to grind for credits.

What I wish most for is the integration of Arcade Mode style races into the GT mode, so you can have competitive races with your favorite cars and earn CR/XP! It's not hard to do.

That, or a new A-Spec category above endurance (there's room for it) for a whole new section or A-Spec creator (make your own). It could easily calculate the rewards based on the track/laps/opponents/car you choose. This won't happen though. 👎

Yes, I didn't notice any change in the rewards for A/B-spec.

I forget which thread but Kaz tweeted that there will only be small updates in this patch. Not sure about B-Spec Anywhere.

it didn't decrease because the patch hasn't come out yet
 
I just want the save glitch fixed. I have 500+ cars and $16 million saved on a stick that basically does now work :(

fix the glitches 1st...I'll never get the "grind time" back!
 
With this patch that is coming out do I have to be hooked up to my desk top computer, and do I have to have a psn name? I don't know anything about this online stuff. Thanks for helping me. :nervous:

I don't know about sharing internet through a laptop/desktop. You do have to have your PS3 connected to the net though to patch/online/news/dlc/playstationstore etc.

I use a wireless modem/router hooked up to broadband through a phone line (I suspect this is the most used option). My PS3/PSP/X360/PC all talk to it through WiFi (wireless network).

I know some people have said they can't because their internet is provided by a "hotspot" dongle plugged into their laptop. I think some others use proxys or something to share to their PS3. Either way, it sounds more complicated than having WiFi internet in your home.


Yes, you must have a PSN (Playstation Network Number) ID. It's free, assuming you have WiFi, it's just a matter of trying to view the Playstation Store and it'll ask you to sign in or create new account.
 
WHO CARES ABOUT PEFORMANCE POINTS. I was patient with PD now I am getting upset the only thing I really truly care to see out of an update is more premium cars thats it. This might be asking to much but I would also like more new races for GT life. Even if they do come out with all this stuff I have all ready done every thing in the game there is to do, and online has so many problems it cant function. So what is truly going on with GT5. I am mad but I will never disrespect GT5 & PD, they understand the passion that some people have for automotive enthusiast.

No worries mate.

There would be thousands of people on here with more knowledge than me. If you still have trouble, someone will be able to help. I know my setup works so I'm happy with it.
 
Hope PD won't add PP.. The better idea is to add arcade mode in a-spec where we will be able to adjust weight, power and etc.. and to do races harder
 
Last thing we need is a PP.The introduction of PP would do a completely different game.
Games have a lot of bugs - glitch which must be repaired.

Those are both significant additions in my opinion.

About Friday's patch, I have not heard anything definite but personally I hope they finally get the online racing right. PSN should be an embarrassment for Sony regarding the GT5 online experience: black screens, unexpected disconnections (5 times in 1/2 hour), painfully slow loading times, etc. How many times have we joined an interesting room just to find out we have 35 (well actually 25) seconds to enter, and it takes 20 seconds to finish loading the room? My connection speed is fine and this is very frustrating. Anyway that's what I hope they get right in this update.

To be honest, I never experienced online problems, never had a black screen, never was disconected, only when i joined a room from someone who has a weak internet connection.....there was some (minus) lag.
I am using a 320gb version, while i noticed that loading on my previous one (80gb) took ages....
conluding ; a very satisfying game and gameplay !!!
 
I think I should have been clearer in my earlier post regarding Performance Points being added in. They would be fantastic if they were an option that could be used during online racing vs. the current HP and weight settings. It would allow you to more clearly see where your chosen cars stand against each other as there are definitely some wolves in sheep's clothing in the game!

I also agree that they would probably not add them into the a-spec/b-spec events as that would be a pretty big programming/balancing act.

I would also like to see a lap time leaderboard for your created courses show up!
 
Havn't played this game for a bit and now I'm sitting here waitng for a 608mb update file. Now I find there's another one tommorrow:rolleyes:
