If you cannot get it to connect to anything wirelessly then possibly, yes.

Does it even detect your wireless router?

And of course, have you upgraded your system firmware through direct Internet connection. If it can do those things then it is more likely something you are doing, and not watching you do it I cannot say what.

You have set it up to connect to your router and your router security settings are setup to detect it, etc, etc?

For PS3 the PS3 must be in Remote play for a wireless connection and then you must go through Remote Play on your PSP.

For any USB connection the PSP must be in USB Mode.

I don't know what else to tell you. Without being there personally and watching what you are doing I have no clue
what the problem could be. I have the same issue with my dad and his iPod. I walk him through connecting it to his PC over the phone and it doesn't work. I go over to his house and do it myself and it works. He does it while I watch him and it works. As soon as I leave it quits working.

It doesn't even detect m router. In fact it keeps giving an internal error message every time I try. I am going to take it back to Wal Fart tonight and trade it in for another one.

On another note, I got my Warhawk yesterday, but the darn thing didn't have the headset. Needless to say I got my gripe in to the seller and got a particial refund and hit ebay to ordr a Motorola Headset. I got the HS850 for 20 froghides, ut this means I have to wait that much longer before I can start playing. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong but I am assuming that communication is vital in this kind of a game and if I amgoing to play effectively I will need to wait for the headset.

Well, from what I have heard, a lot of people don't use it anyway, to hard to tell people what the heck is going on I guess, I'd say go ahead and play it, get a feel for everything, then when you get the mic, you'll be that much better.

Chris.

That sounds like the issue.

It isn't necessary, but Warhawk is best as a team game, in which case communication is handy.

However, enough people play without it that sometimes I feel like I am talking to myself.

Of course, you can play locally in splitscreen or just do a deathmatch where communication means nothing more than trash talking.

Well there are a lot of these games sold on ebay without the headsets.Ive always found it to e pretty chicken**** for people to sell a copy of Warhawk without the headset and then chrage $40 for the game I thought I had ought a copy wit the headset ut I had so many pages open the day I ought mine that I inadvertantly bought thew wrong game. I do think its kind of rude to play a game that requiers communication wihtout any means of communicating...but thenI want to play the game. Well, I still have TOCA3 to play until my headset gets here.

Which side do you fight under, or do you play oth sides?

Also, I have internet access on the PS3 finally,I've even been racing online with my TOCA3 but all I can do with my browser is go to the Playstation Store or the Playstation website or forum. Anything furhter than that just doesn't happen. Is theer some way around that to just get to the interwebs likes everyone else????

$40 is the MSRP of the game without headset. So unless they advertised the normally $60 boxed set it shouldn't have come with one. That may be your confusion.

I set up my default as Chernovan, just because I like the look of their jet better, and it is easier to see the customization on it. That said, decent games have a setting to balance teams, so if I join a game and the Eucadian side is short one or more people it will put me there. I don't mind as all weapons are the same and it keeps the game balanced.

What is annoying is when we go into a new game on the same server and it auto-switches me to my default team when the balance switches. I don't get a notice, so unless I pay attention all I know is that I think I have an enemy in my base. And while it is easy to catch yourself at the start of the game, in the heat of battle it is very easy to kill a teammate without thinking. It is especially bad if you see a heated battle in the distance and whip out your sniper rifle. Sometimes at distance you cannot see the uniforms so you are just going by whether their names are in blue or red and after shooting at red for an hour it is easy to forget that you are now red. And with a sniper rifle there is no chance to stop shooting when you make your mistake. If you make a mistake they are dead. Sure they respawn but the damage is done.

Auto-switching has only happened to me twice but it is a bugger when it does.

First, give us your PSN ID (or list it under your avatar-I haven't checked the PSN ID thread yet). EDIT: Just checked, you did list it. Add me if I don't add you first. I need more Americans on my list and we can do some one-on-one Warhawk to get you used to it before you go into the big battles.

As for the browser:

1) You did click on Internet Browser and not Playstation Store? I assume yes since you are in the Playstation Forums, but just checking.

2) Have you pushed Triangle yet while in the browser? That opens a whole menu of options, just like in the XMB. General hint on the PS3 (and PSP): Triangle = options menu always (music, movies, pictures, browser, Folding@Home, XMB, anything but in-game).

3) The place to enter a URL is under the file menu. OR, Start is the hot button to bring up the URL entry screen. Just type it in, using the handy on screen keyboard, and off you go.

I have gone into the options on the left side of the browser, and I have even found a menu bar and keyed in various websites but:grumpy: nu'ttin. I did an update night before last soI'll see if that helped.

I also did the updates for the game and went in last night and tried it for a while. I must say that I found the Nemesis to be a bit more nimble than the Warhawk...atleast it seemed so for me. Using the right joystick to toggle the camera view really has e thrown. I used to play a game on the N64 called JetForce Gemni, and I wish most shootem up games would use that controller set up where you run with the joystick ut toggle your view with what on the playstation controller are R1/L1 you also used these buttons to aim/fire/run at the same time, then Ato roll and B to jump. It made it so easy to run and kill cause you could always e aiming your weapon. Basically while pressing R1/L1 your site marker would come up and aiming was very quick and very stable.

Next update:

Ever since I did the lastest update my PS3 is finally ale to cruise the interwebs using the built in browser. This is odd because when I got it two weeks ago I had to do an update before I could even key in the Network info. Up until today the browser would only get me to the Playstation site and store, even when going to the text entry after pressing the trriangle button. I did the update last night or the night before but didn't try going to inhernet. Now thankfully it finally does.

Anyway, I have kept this thread going B.S.ing with FoolKiller instead of PMing while I worked this out in hopes that when I fixed the problem or found out what was causing it that it would be useful to atleast a few out there who may have been having troubles of the same nature

On another note...last night and tonight I have grabbed atleast ten sniper rifles and not once has the game let me equip it so I can pick of bogies

Sooooooo, I gots ta get used ta a whoooole new way of playing:scared: I'll be glad once I get more used to the controls. Last night my last game was fought in the capitol and man it was pretty fevered. It was the first one I had gone though where the shooting was constant. It was fun even if I did get my arse handed to me on a plate time after time. With any luck my headset will bbe here in week

Good point. Since things seem to be working for you now, we can move the Warhawk talk to the Warhawk thread.

Yeah, the weapons in the corners of the equip box can be hard to equip until you get used to the controls. It is my one complaint about the game.

Yeah, although tonight I did figure out the Warhawk/Nemisis controls well enough to rack up some serious kills withit as well as survive a few dogfights.
