Help can't pass.

Start with saying what your set up is, wheel or not? And your driver aids

Guess I need a steering wheel

Guess I need a steering wheel

Ya, it's exceptionally hard with a ds3 let alone a wheel, mainly because it's hard to be consistent with a ds3, given a few hrs or days, you could atleast acquire bronze with a ds3, but after that you need to relearn a normal car

Yeah true,

Yea practice is the best tip your gonna get you need to learn how to control the car and know the track..turn off the driving line because the brake line is bs and will make you lose time. takes a while if you want to get gold but bronze is pretty easy.

Sick I'll start practicing

I can't even get close to even complete this event with my G27. I haven't practiced a lot that's true but mainly because I've heard rumours about X1 destroying wheels anyone can confirm this? Thanks ;)

try the glitches haha :D
im wonder, do they still work?^^

I found that I was faster without ABS. The car grips so much that you don't need anything to assist the control of wheel spin under rapid deceleration.

Yeah, you should totally be a complete loser, and use the glitches...
No! Do it the right way, like a man!

It takes some time to learn to drive X2010 (it took me 10 minutes on Monza/10 minutes of driving until I actually started running gold worthy laps).
Here's what I can say to help:

- Chase camera works the best
- Manual transmission saves you valuable tenths
- You have to develop a style so that you brake and steer at the same time (also known as trail-braking, which is a must with X2010)
- You have to relax, if you're having a bad day you should leave it for tomorrow
- Lower ABS is better because of the trail-braking tehnique
- Brake balance should be: 5/8 or any value with higher number in the rear
- Controller sensitivity must be on high, 7 is the best value
- Turning ghost off helps
- Do the challenge in this order: Monza (getting familiar with the car) -> Nurburgring (doing the actual hard work) -> Suzuka (after Nurburgring you'll be a X2010 expert and you'll find Suzuka quite easy)
- You must be persistent, you mustn't give up (although the challenge will seem impossible at first)

I hope this helps.
PS: You can't downgrade to 1.10 (unless your disc is in 1.10).

- I used sixaxis, it's not impossible - it's perfectly doable once you start doing it

Yeah ill give it a shot

I can't tell you how to do it, theres no way of explaining it. All I can say is practice and don't get frustrated when you think you can't do it, theres many others in the same position. It took me hours and hours to do it and that was with a wheel!

Try not to leave it then drive another car, if you do you will be back to square 1 learning the car all over again.

Good luck, try and enjoy the learning curve :)

Just glitch them...

Get it done and out the way

Dont glitch..it takes away from actually winning the event whoever glitches this challenge should go play need for speed because gt5 is not for them. Plain and simple. Lmao to the guy who said this.

Practice makes perfect. I have them all gold with a DS3. If you gold Monza then try the rest. If Monza is too much for you, you won't gold the others. Best of luck and no glitching.

My advice to anyone attempting to gold this challenge is analyse videos of people who've achieved gold legitimately. Look for markers on side of track as braking points. Use sector times as a guide, try to break the circuit down in stages in your mind. Like the AMG event, you have to complete the Nurburgring in 4 separate stages before given the whole circuit to complete. Apply the same method to Monza, Nurburgring & Suzuka.

Learn and anticipate the bends before you reach them so you're always thinking slightly ahead as you're driving. This way you're already prepared and technically, have the car positioned to take it at speed.

Turn the ghost car off it's too distracting. I'd even go further to say turn off some of the instrument displays.

On Suzuka I found using the directional buttons gave me "full steering lock" instead of the analogue stick. Possibly due to me turning so fast with the stick it was moving diagonally instead of straight across.

Experiment with ABS settings. On the Nurburgring I found the quickest way to take some of the bends was by almost throwing the car into a bend full steering lock whilst braking heavily at the same time then accelerating out. Using ABS 7.
But complete constrast in techniques for Suzuka, I set ABS to 1 so you maximise braking before you enter the bend then turn and accelerate full speed on exit.

Above all, attempt the X1 Challenge when it feels right for you, there's no obligation to do it, just simply enjoy driving the 3 different circuits and I guarantee with practice your times will improve.

First off, congratulations. Anyone who's not glitching and trying to do it legitimately will always have my respect.

Secondly, I'll just add-on to some of the points that's been made:
- Choose whichever camera view you're comfortable with. Although in chase cam, the car may appear to be somewhat slower as compared to bumper cam, which may help. I used bumper cam as I am always used to it.
- Again choose AT or MT as you're used to. AT will probably be easier, but with MT you have more flexibility.
- You can mess with brake balance, but I find it didn't do much for me. So left it as default.
- From easiest to hardest would be Monza -> Nurburgring -> Suzuka, although quite a few ppl felt Suzuka was easier than Nurburgring. Or you can try the killer way - master Suzuka first, then Nurburg and Monza would be a piece of cake.
- Try experimenting with different ABS settings. When I went from ABS 1 to ABS 10 in Nurburg, I found new ways of turning/braking, it's like I had an epiphany. I then went back to ABS 1 and kept on improving my times from there.
- After the 1st lap, if you feel you're within range of getting gold - turn off the ghost car (press Up on the D-pad) so that you don't get distracted when you're near him.
- In fact you may want to turn off all Race Info Display altogether (pause during race and goto Quick Options).

Lastly, are you on a wheel or DS3? Didn't see this mentioned yet.
