Howdy, I'm new here...
Several months ago I acquired a used Playseats Evolution with a G25 wheel. I was pretty happy with the setup, but my G25 crapped out in a very frustrating way - The PS3 would think I was riding the brake when I was most definitely not doing so.
Anyway, Logitech decided it was defective, and it has been replaced by a G27. However, I'm baffled as to how to mount the G27 shifter in the Playseats gearshift mount.
Although there are some differences, the main design of the G25 and G27 shifter bodies looks the same. There are two thumb-screw clamps, and a centered bracket with a threaded barrel clamp. The bracket needs to be removed because it's too wide to fit between the flanges of the Plaseats shifter mount.
The same problem existed with the G25, and it looks like I should be able to remove two screws and detach the bracket, but it ain't coming loose. My G25 was already mounted on the seat when I got it, so if a magic fastener was present, I didn't learn the secret.
I will be much obliged if anybody can clue me in on how to remove that bracket without destroying anything.
Thanks,
JG
