Not even close to bored , Did get a little fed up saving for a FGT, so decided to spend a million of my savings tuning cars for a race series i've decided to run, loads of fun.

Lol i had the money for a FGT but i couldnt bare to part with it, so after a long line of trades, i traded an FGT in, so i still have 5 million... Or well, i did but this NSX -R LM car popped up for sale...

Go and find some proper drivers to race against; that will relieve you of your boredom.

dont understand how anybody can be bored its crazy imo, enjoy the game at your own pace dont try and beat it to be the first

at the minute (level 25) ive one endurance to do, the gt F1 to do, several special events and license's not to mention the seasonal events and online drifting and racing i dont have enought time in the day.
Oh and did i mention B-spec bob hes at level 10 and ploughing on very well

So with all that said i really dont know were use are going wrong !

Dumbass question ere

Whats an FGT

I was about to ask the same question but then i figured it would probably be the "Formula GT" car which is the F1 car from GT4 if im correct..

I see so much discussion about it that it makes me wonder: is it better then the ferrari F1 cars that are new in GT5?

Getting close to bored, but crossing my fingers that we will get more A-spec events. Elite events or something very though - deperately needed.

Still enjoy some trading and time trialling and getting ready for online racing next year so maybe I'm not THAT bored yet, just not as (good thing?).

I pretty much have no desire to play the game anymore. I bought every car that I wanted (except the X1 and Ferrari F1's) and the game just ran out of replay value.

What is the point of the game now? Anyone else feeling the same? (and happen to still be browsing these forums? lol)

yep, I feel the same way.

Wow if you are getting bored of gt5 already I can't imagine how long previous gts lasted. ?

much longer.

I have so much of the game left to complete...well I feel like I do...

I'm only half way through the expert A-Spec events. Admittedly, the seasonal events came at the right time and stopped me doing them too soon.

I'm constantly doing B-Spec when I don't want to actually play the game. I've almost completed extreme B-Spec...but have already unlocked the enduros because while I'm doing other things, I just keep sending Bob out to earn a bit of cash and credit, so I'll well set there. I don't care if I finish B-Spec...it can be tedious anyway.

So I still have a fair chunk of A-Spec to go...but also special events. Almost finished go-karts, no where near finished Top Gear (with golds), finished NASCAR...but have a lot of the later ones to do/gold. Add to the fact, I will continue to try and gold my licences...I see a lot of game ahead of me.

Oh, and I still have to find time for Football Manager of course ;)

The ferrari cars can't be run in any events so it doesn't really matter. So stupid, why even have them? Practice laps, oh boy!

I'm not bored of GT5 but I'm concerned for it.

There's still a mass of content here, 1000 cars, 70 tracks... well you all know what's in the game. I mean, with this much content the game can't not be massive.

The game is still big everywhere, except one place. The most important place - the single player career. It's what defines GT. An intricate, extensive campaign which utilizes every track, car and feature the game can offer. A GT career gives literally years of gameplay. I've never known another game which comes close.

And here lies the problem. Has PD made the fatal error of assuming the online capabilities of GT5 can replace the single player mode? We're seeing this all over the game industry - it's what's made Call of Duty so big and yet so empty. It may even be why we stuck with GT5 in the first place, to get away from it.

Not for one minute am I attacking those of you who prefer to spend your time online. If that's what you like in a game, that's fine.

But it can't come as a compromise. We NEED this fantastic career we know you can give us. It's why I've been addicted to the series since GT2 and why I've anticipated GT5 for 5 years. It's why GT has regularly sold 10 million copies per entry since the very first title, and without it GT will fade away into just another game.

Delete account and start again? :dopey:

But seriously I havent not tired of this game at all. My girlfriends 11 yr old son has a PS3 in one room and I have one in mine, the battles that we have and the online drifting are epic.

I recommend playing around with the settings of different cars for both drifting and racing, I seem to spend hours on this particular feature.

I think it would be nice if they speced the cars to match what you entered. Maybe even a slider like the track maker has to adjust the event.

ie: a 400hp evo against 200hp renault makes no sense.

Also the driver AI should increase in every event when you level. This way you could go back to sunday cup and race against a much faster AI when you're level 25.

That or just do the ovbious and add more events with tighter restrictions.

I'm not bored of this game by any means yet, but i would like some more features or customizability for down the road.

Not even bored one bit. I still have B-Spec, Special Events, License Tests to progress/complete, & about 961 more cars to collect. I think GT6 will already be announced or released when I hit 1031 cars. Until my bobs hit Expert or Extreme Halls, I'll just grind on A-Spec or Special Events & maybe them License Tests (frustrating).

👍 Salute 👍

After a month, I still enjoy playing this game. Actually, I'm enjoying it more than ever now that I reached 70%. I still have to finish B-Spec, endurance races...
And now I have a good amount of cars, so I can hotlap, practise, do photos, racing online...
There's still a lot to do.
I just ask for other seasonal events. That's all.

I'm not bored but I do need to slow down playing GT5 and get some other games into my rotation so I don't get bored with it. That's what i would suggest to the OP play some other games for awhile then come back to GT5. Playing one game too much can make it get boring after awhile.

I get bored at times as I am a crap driver so licenses, special events have no appeal as show me how bad I am, I have completed every event in A spec apart from Formula GT World Championship which I really suck at, tried a race that my B spec managed ok but with alot of fight I managed to get 5th. I am lvl 27 A spec and lvl 34 B spec as they drive better than me :ouch:

I must admit the lack of events is concerning. Also having to spend 20 mins grinding Bob up a tiny amount of exp each time is starting to lose its novalty.
I just attempted the Roadster endurance and gave up after an hour. I suppose when a race is that boring you tend to ask why you are doing it in the first place and that your life has come to this.
The next patch needs a massive bonus to go with it otherwise I am tempted to get GT4 since I never played it.

I grinded 24/7 like a madman for 1 month, the only thing that bores me now in the game is the xp/credit system in some of the races like other people have complained. The game itself is still alittle fun but with the new year approaching and all the new Fantastic games coming out soon in 2011(Two Worlds 2, Test Drive 2, Dead Space 2, Gears 3, Killzone 3, Resistance 3, etc.) GT5 will be collecting dust around the end of January.

I was starting to get bored and actually *gasp* put Black Ops back in my PS3 for a couple days 2 weeks ago.

Then two things happened.

1. Got my first ever wheel-DFGT.
2. Much more importantly-Started racing online.

Since you say you have all the cars you wanted, race them online. The only disadvantage to online is that the Exp/Credits are not comparable to what you earn in A-Spec. If you already own every car you want, it's ideal for you to jump in and race them against other people instead of owning the AI, which you're right-is boring.

What really re-invigorated GT5 for me is that the guys I often play with set up HP/Weight restrictions for online. We've kinda stabilized on 1190 as a weight most of the time and 400/500/600 HP classes. There are probably 4-5 options when you talk about the fastest overall cars in the game. What is the fastest 400 HP car?-Hundreds of options. I built 5 different ones to try out and tune. It's a blast. Friend me on PSN and Lounge stalk me if you want to try it.

I think it is how YOU want to play the game. There are many ways of playing. Some will trade, some will glitch, its how they want to do it. Me? I will start many game saves, to be able to play different ways. This save, I want to get every car. Another save, I will see how far I can get to without buying a car. GT4 was great. I think one guy got to 62% before he had to buy a car. Yes, when the seasonal events change, there will be less XP to get easily. But we must adapt. For they have made the game, and to get the most out of it, you need to think outside the box. Personally, I'm not interested in B spec. I will run the enduros time and time again. Always using a different car, to try new things.
I am closing in on unlocking the enduros, and I cant wait. The thought of doing something in GT that we couldn't do before, i.e. day/night, wet/dry, makes it great and fun.
I can understand why people can get bored with the game quick, but GT has never been about pick it up and blast through. Its bout finesse. Honing skills. Fine its a game, but it is realistic enough. I'm not gonna sit here and say the AI is perfect, because I understand a lot of programming has been done to make it what it is. Take a race with 16 cars. If car A does this, then b,c,d,etc, has to do this. But if the human is in second place and does this, then c,d,e etc, does this. The variations within the GAME are endless. I'm gonna enjoy this for what it is, a game. Play it my way.
I'm still going back and forth to GT4. Had tat for 5 years and still want to try different things. Don't get bored, think different.

I can easily say I'm bored.

To the extent that I went out and bought Black Ops (its winter here so gaming is a staple lol)..

I had intended to buy a wheel and spend some decent time with the game but after reaching 95% complete status with a D-pad I just no longer desire to spend $400+ to ace a few tracks. Rather spend that coin on my Real race car!

It's unfortunate but it only took this game little under a month to make me loose interest. The endurance races without saves are effing retarded. Online is a joke unless you go to great extremes to ensure a "clean" race. Racing in cockpit mode is my preference and can't do it on any of the cars I personally enjoy.

Hugely let down over here. I only log in daily to get my dumbass museum cards then pop in another game or go on NetFlix.

I'm now looking forward to the new Forza..it will completely trump this disgrace of a game in every aspect, easily.

Harsh words, but they're true no matter how much we don't want to hear them.
GT5 is losing the fight.

I absolutely love the GT series of games, I've always taken time off work to ensure I could get it and start on it on release day. I've always played them religiously, all the time, but I do find that this release of GT has left me feeling a little bored, especially of grinding.

At first I didn't mind grinding, but now after weeks of it, every day, constantly, it's starting to get to me, big time.

I'm level 35 a spec and 30 b spec, I look at how many points I need to move up a level and just feel bemused. I've never felt that way about GT before.

I think the above few posts are correct, polyphony are playing a very dangerous game, with so many die hard GT fans having issues with GT5, it's a perfect opportunity for Forza to close the gap on GT, or even become equal to it.

I never thought in a million years that would ever happen, but after playing GT for the last 5 / 6 weeks, I now can't help but think there's a posibility of that happening..

Does anyone remember the FIFA V's Pro Evo battle, FIFA ruled, then Pro Evo come out of no where, took over, but Pro Evo allowed FIFA to catch up again.

I feel this is what's happening to GT, and I'm gutted, as GT5 was the perfect opportunity for polyphony to put some distance between GT5 and Forza, instead, that gap is now more likeky to close rather than grow.

Last night, while Boob was grinding out yet another endurance race,I hooked the old PS2 up to a different input on my tv. I popped GT4 in because I wanted to drive something and didn't feel like watching the paint dry(b-spec grinding). I forgot how much there was to do in that version and can't believe how lacking GT5 is in comparison.
I would have been happy with this game if they just re-made GT4,with the updated graphics and online capability. It would have kept everyone busy for months and if they started adding to it with DLC,holy crap it would have been epic. Now all we can do is hope PD have a few tricks up their sleeves really soon to keep all the fans happy or this is gonna be the most anticipated FAIL ever.

Not too bad an idea actually. Scrap the current career, restart our game saves and cut 'n' paste the career from GT4, although obviously modified to GT5's tracks and implementing the money and xp.
With a selection of events as extensive as that, nobody would be able to complain even about the vast gaps between levels. They might even have to increase the cap!

I'd be prepared to lose my progress any day in favour of that. Maybe it would be easier just to delete and start again.
