Anyone drag with the Fairlady Z34 ?

Love this car but I feel it should be able to hang with most RR cars but it seems as though all I can beat are other Z's. I wanna be able to beat an RX7 and a Supra.

Pretty sure swara has a tune for the fairlady that will make it HAUL... check it out.. I like the fairlady myself as well

Even so, I've yet to see one that can stand up to supras or rx-7's. But I still love the old 300's.

My Z can compete with some of the muscle cars and even a supra or two if they were sleeping

Yeah, but a good tuned 300 is no match for an equally good tuned fd or supra.

I flipped the tranny and i still feel like it can pull quicker. I pull in first till about 40 mph but it seems as though its taking forever to get there.

Sure, this is the base tune method that I use for my Skyline 370gt.

Flip transmission
1st gear- all the way to the left
2nd gear- a little bit more than half, say about 2/3
3rd gear- 3/4 right
4th gear- all the way to the right
5th gear- all the way to the right
6th gear- all the way to the right
Final gear- explore say about the 130-140 range

Shorten first then if it's taking a while.. You want it to be the very minimum so it get to the powerband without moving around while you launch

Yes because of the VQ37's already have a lot of power for a 3.7L V6 . But i want to race you in my skyline 370gt aka my dad's car except its the Infiniti version

I kinda felt like the z33 was a little faster the the z34. I'm mad I sold it.

Oh and thanks for the drag tune Swara. Its Cpizzy. Mine was kinda similar aside from my max speed was set to 160. I'll try the 130-140 range

I have one Z34 that is off the rector, on a good day I smoke a evenly tuned FD or Supra. My Z34 has also been known to beat a few later model WRX RA's, I can point you in the right direction, tune wise for a Z34.....

Just got my 03 z33 fairlady down to 10.297 took it out and flogged a trans cammer and a couple older muscel cars so these cars can deffinitly put down a good time. I personally like to use mine jus because you hardly ever see anyone else using them.. People seem to think if you don't have 700hp or more that the car isn't worth tuning it will be slow..

Then dont tell them about the Miura, RX7, Shelby Series One, 300ZX, Maserati Gran Turismo, Ferrari 430, GTO or Nissan R32...

Oooh I agree there are tons of cars under 700 or even under 600 that are very quick when tuned.
