My long-time love has always been GT, since the release of the first installment. Now, I just cannot find the motivation to even turn on GT6 anymore - a few license tests done, and that is about it. Anyone else with this syndrome?

I can understand but I'm not at that point yet. I think my first GT was 4, maybe 3..played it till about 2009 or so, sold my PS2 and didn'buy a PS3 and GT5 until December 2012, so am relatively new back to it. Have completed the game bar autobarmy trophy and was getting slightly bored....but am entered in the WRS and the time trials are great fun, especially comparing yourself against other players (much like seasonals but on a smaller scale, totally stock cars and the community with it's friendliness and helpfulness). I am no longer bored and look forward to turning on the game and trying to find that extra one thousandth of a second!

I've been burnt out since GT5. But, since I've been following the series since GT1 first came out, I decided to pre-order GT6 anyway even though I didn't really have high hopes for it. And I was correct. I got myself to finish it anyway, just for the sake of finishing it, even though it was a chore and I didn't really have fun in the process. Now I've put it away and probably won't look at it again except to do new events and seasonals.

I'm pretty much bored with it at the moment. Mainly cos there's no Shuffle racing, & collecting cars is a nightmare cos of the badly designed Stockyard. All I do is go for a drive every now & then. Can't wait for the online Community Features update, I hope that will boost my interest.

Nope, not yet. I do get burned out after too many laps on the time trials and have to "turn the channel" for a while. I have plenty of other pursuits though, so this isn't the only thing I do to entertain myself.

SNAP!

Baby due in 2 weeks, the thought of 1st time parenthood is a real burner outer, I kid you not.

Yes. Started playing since GT2. Then made thousands of hybrids in GT2 / GT3.

I put quite a bit of time into GT4 and mostly enjoyed it despite the lack of online. I still think GT4 has one of THE best gaming introductions. Truly love the intro. The bad news is that Forza was introduced and I fell in love with that series. Forza had almost everything I always wanted in the GT series. Vinyls, engine swaps, online, and everything else that has been mentioned.

So after I heard about the standards in GT5 and all the restrictions, I didn't even buy GT5. I rented it and decided against the purchase. The standards were truly horrible at launch. Couldn't even swap wheels in the standards at launch. (GT5 was later given to me as a Christmas gift). I gave it a chance and after a LOT of updates the standards were better but still way too restricted and honestly laughable. Most of my time in GT5 was B-spec while playing the other game.

I knew GT6 would still have standards so I haven't even rented GT6 yet. I plan to eventually, it just hasn't happened yet. GT6 might honestly get me back into the series because I have heard a lot of improvements especially with the standards.

I've been a fanatical GT player since the very first time I tried the original Gran Turismo back in 1998,I looked forward for each new release and played them all almost every day until GT6....something about this particular iteration holds very little interest for me for some reason.I looked forward to it's release,pre-ordered from GameStop but even as I opened the case there was something that just didn't excite like the previous games. Maybe it's just me but I can see others feel let down by it now so it's not just my imagination.

ps:Congrats to nurburgthing on becoming a new father,I am a Grandpa many times over now and it is the best thing in life.......

Nope, still loving it, even if I've finished the whole thing already :)
If you're at that point, you really gotta question yourself, if you're still a truly Gran Turismo hardcore fan anymore (no ofence). Maybe time for a change me thinks :(

Congratulations. I found myself holding a sleepy baby to my chest reclining in my X-Rocker doing the Nurburgring in GT5 1 handed trying not to wake her. Gear changes were tricky, couldn't face resorting to Automatic
That made me smile. Very cute story. 👍

Nope - only just getting started on WRS time trials and Nurburgring lap times.

Game will be spot on once PD turn SRF off on the Seasonal TT's.

I guess you could say i'm burnt out, i've done all the races and now i only turn it on for gtplr.co.uk online races or to do new seasonals, otherwise i don't bother.

A minute's silence for the shuffle races, please.

I wonder when the course maker update will arrive? That's going to boost my interest for a while. For how long depends on how good it is.

It's all about online for me and as that is basically broken with the pit problems, weather not working and all the other glitches i can say I am near enough totally burnt out as career mode lasted all of a week or so and now that's done I feel there is next to nothing to do now

Nice to know I am not the only one - I did pick up a new passion last spring in mountain biking, and perhaps that is my problem - I would rather be out on the trails than playing GT6. Granted, I only played GT6 after the wife went to bed, so the times don't even conflict with my new hobby - the general interest just isn't there. At least my ass is off the couch and getting excercise, right?? :D

I'm feeling a bit like a piece of bacon in the frying pan getting crispy......back when GT5 came out I really seemed to enjoy doing the races but now not so much as the glitches in the S series races are frustrating the 🤬 out of me....so I currently just do the log in and customize my cars to the way I want them.....

If it was not for online Time Trials I will not be playing GT6 and the career races are a load of rubbish.

Absolutely not burn't out of it. I'll sway my attention away for a couple days then i'm right back it again.

Blitzing it can result in this "burn't out" effect, I haven't completed much due to my small time frame I have to enjoy the game :)

I wouldn't call the races rubbish, (they may or not be...whatever) but I do know I enjoy the time trials best of all. I suppose that's why I enjoyed the course maker so much and am eagerly awaiting its reincorporation into the game.

Yes. As soon as I finished the 24m races and the career mode, I lost interest. I have an urge here and there to play but it doesn't last long.
Looking at my friend list, many people seem to be over it as well.

While I was away I had no access to GT6 but had access an XBox & the latest forza game. The graphics & game play arn't good enough to convert me from GT , however the area it trumps GT is how they have trimmed the fat off the car selection. What im saying is do we really need 1200 cars of which 600 odd are just varients of Mx5s, Rx7s, skylines etc. How many interesting supercars, racecars, concept cars, game features, extra events never made the cut in lieu of these boring standard cars. Why not just a few premium models of each car? like GT3.

Big 10-4 over and out.

There just isn't enough variety on single player events to hold my interest. When they bring back a few season races with the PP difference multiplier I'll be there. Until then I have other things to play.

Ratrasta When you said There ain't much to do in GT6 a lot of thing's missing well that just sums it up about the game. Unless PD has something special for us players in a few month or two. But I think where test beds for GT7 and other thing GT6 should have never come out on PS3.

Not yet, but I will be after this weekend. 24-Hours of Daytona. The whole thing. In a Deltawing. On a DS3.

The single player game is over. It is a "chasing" game not a "racing" game.
Back in the day it was about completing the races to get the prize cars, now even that is gone.
The only reason I play GT6 is for the online element. Racing against other people who enjoy a good race. Really all the new content in GT6 could have been released as DLC for GT5 and I would have happily bought the tracks and some of the cars.

Still the only game that goes in my PS3( Other then my sons Lego games)

The last couple of years I did the GT5 endurance races. It was a never-ending struggle to force the Performance Points lower and lower, testing different cars, rarely completing an actual race but hugely enjoying the build-up. Competing with others on the gtplanet fora, cheering them on when I improved on their successes and feeling miserable when they discovered a more favorable opposition lineup.

Now in GT6 I am left hanging there. I become desperate after restarting a race for the billionth tine chasing an impossible Gold - it's simply not my thing, I have neither the skill nor the patience - and my internet is not fit for online racing.I have reached the top of the ladder twice, and while several of the Super races actually are very good and difficult in an interesting way, I've been there and done it .......and now I'm stuck.
