At least revamp the tracks, we don't want another Grand Valley/Trial Mountain quality track. Ew.

You know, I once thought: what if EVERY track from past GTs were in GT5 and given that touch of PS3 power? That even includes different versions of past GT courses. Think back to when Deep Forest actually was more like a forest (like in GT1 and GT2). Think about courses that never seen another GT (like Grindelwald, Rome-Night, or Green Forest Raceway). The tracks would need to be all prettied-up just to meet PS3 standards.

I am always thinking about what tracks would be like if they were given life on the PS3 in GT5. Considering NASCAR in GT5, I've always wondered what Red Rock Valley Speedway would be like if it was in GT5 and if NASCAR raced there. There are karts in Gran Turismo 5- why not put them around Motor Sport Land (GT2)? I would wonder how fast my Ferrari F2007 would be around the streets of New York City (GT4). Maybe I'm feeling crazy, but I would want to imagine how quickly any Red Bull X-whatever car would eviscerate Complex String, or how far into the air it would fly over the jumps of Seattle Circuit. I would wonder what racing the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP would be like on Special Stage Route 11 (either GT1 or GT3's version). I wonder what 12 cars around Rome Circuit be like, and I am NOT talking about GT5's Rome Circuit- I'm talking about the Rome Circuit from GT2 and GT3. And even sometimes... I wonder what Citta di Aria (which I hate racing) and Costa di Amalfi (which I ENJOY racing) would be like with PS3 power as well. Some of the endurances from GT4 would be more interesting with time changes if they were brought back into GT4. Assuming it's the late afternoon or early evening at Motegi Road Course, imagine that race going into the darkness of night.

I would very much vote in favor of bringing back past courses, including old favorites. I even wouldn't mind racing the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in GT5 from Tourist Trophy. These newer tracks could be spoiled with things like Time Chane and Weather Change. I'd be okay racing Apricot Hill in the rain or Laguna Seca going into darkness. I would even race Grand Valley for 1000 kilometers or 24 hours. Also, you have to account for the old off-road courses. NONE of the past GT off-road courses are in GT5. None of them (the newer Chamonix courses don't count)! That's a first for the series. I've missed tracks like Tahiti Circuit, Smokey Mountain, Tahiti Maze, and a track I know a lot of people would want to see return- Pikes Peak.

The possibilities are endless. Thing is, would PD let it happen; and which courses would be the best candidates for a return? Whatever the case, it would sure be interesting to see some old faces again.

You never mentioned Midfield Raceway in this whole thing. :( But I agree with you on this 👍

"More" old tracks? ALL the old tracks. I despise the new Chamonix, i loved the old one so much better. All GT4 tracks for GT5 would make the game gigantic. PD please dont let all your previous hard work go to waste, we want to enjoy them in this day!

I want all the old tracks and the event's to run on them as well.

This is what I've been asking for, for years now. Polyphony has a great lineage of well made race courses, and I think it's high time they were brought back to life. And as dixonbaps says, include them in events, not just Arcade Mode. If you agree, I have a link to the Feedback Forum in my sig on this very point which could use some votes.

Hey now, I raced on them last night and had a total blast doing it.

I would like to see every location rendered with the detail of Tokyo or Rome, but this also requires a year or two of work. I say, touch them up to the level of Trial Mountain and release them soon, and make them look even better for GT6.

Midfield, Seatle, Apricot hill, the old Rome track! Can't believe these gems have been missed out. I wish PD would do an old school track pack with these in it, I would pay top dollar for a pack like that and am sure many many more would too.

Trial mountain actually looks better in gt3, the long straight coming out of tunnel in the gt3 version has the sun breaking out of the trees, not in gt5? On the same part of the track you had massive sparks from cars bottoming out over bumps, again not in gt5 (well only small ones). I also miss the heat haze at start of replays but that's going off topic a bit.
