Nice photos after seeing these photos I am so looking forward to Goodwood FOS more now GT.

Absolutely mint. Shame it chucked it down at the end of the day. Spent the best part of the day up the top with the rally action.

A friend also took some .avi videos (well 185 meg) so I could pass them on if anyone can explain how as I'm crap with computers.

Just got back from day 2. Didn't do much - wandered up to the far end to have a look at the rallying. Didn't take many photos today. Spent 2 hours at the Scaletrix stand waiting for David Coulthard and Jenson Button to turn up, which was supposed to be at 2.25pm. At 4.30 I gave up and looked around the stands. At 4.45 I went back, saw the huge crowd, and arrived to see DC and Jenson disapper in a golf cart. Then I swore a lot. Thankfully, I found a really good place for autographs, just outside where all the drivers and riders go to get away from everyone, and as a reult got about half a dozen autographs from:

David Coulthard
Christian Horner
Vitantonio Liuzzi
Derek Bell
Mick Doohan
Nelson Piquet Jr. (I think it was him, although it might've been Nico Rosburg - I wasn't sure, but I stuck a pen and programme in front of him anyway.)

I got Button's autograph in 2002 at that year's FoS anyway, so I wasn't really, really annoyed. Only mildly so.

Then, strolling around the paddock, a batch of cars returned from their runs up the hill, and so I aquired autographs from:

Tim Harvey
Juan Fangio II
Andy Wallace
Ukyo Katayama

Anthony Ried was there too, but he looked a bit pissed off about something, and he had his hands full of racing helmet and water, so I left him alone; but then he usually looks pissed off about something anyway.

Also missed out on winning a Scaletrix set by 3 hundreths of a second, on a race around a Scaletrix track, although I wasn't that bothered - I'd probably never use it anyway. In any case, the lap lasted only about 3.5 seconds, so someone probably would've beaten me anyway.

Back again tomorrow. Only took 90-odd pictures today.

G.T, was the Bowler thing worth the £15 needed to go on a 1 minute ride?

I'd say yes, it was more of an experience to me anyway because I'd never been in a fast car before.

Ok my big bro should be around any time soon after 7am or at 7am, right as you read this reply I could be in the car on the way to FOS or at FOS.

pfft bowler aint no car, its a beastly land rover!!!! :D i bet it sounded great inside eh?
It sure did. I was wearing a helmet and it was still pretty loud.

There were about 4 drivers out there. 3 of them don't really push the car very hard and change gear early but the driver I got really revved it. :D

It had a fire extinguisher in it next to me.

I hear Peter Brock(9 time Bathurst 1000 winner) is at this event with a Holden Commodore. Anybody seen him?

And you had to pay £15 to ride in it once around only lol :D, ok what a great day I be posting up my FOS photos in my motorsports topic on monday buds.

Also you know the 2005 Maserati Pininfarina Birdcage 75th Concept well a lot of people were standing around of it could get a photo of the back.

But I dad was being annoying and said lets move on and did not let me go back to get a front photo, my dad does not know what lush means even if it hit him in the face.

Aswell I saw a 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 at FOS could not get a photo of it in time too many people walking by.

OK I have started to post up my photos in my motorspots topic my first 8 are up now in my motorspots topic.

Day 3: Stayed around the bottom end of the track, watching the F1 cars. Got a video on my digital camera of Olivier Panis doing a burnout.

Autograph count: 5. Got autographs from Damon Hill, Jenson Button, Nick Mason (Pink Floyd drummer), Olivier Panis and Tony Jardine.

Photographs taken: approx. 220.

Did you say anything to the F1 drivers about how the F1 went in USA, shame I could not get autographs and my dad rushing me to take photos.

Because he got annoyed grrrr my dad does not know what the meaning lush means even if it hit him in the face.

I didn't ask about the USA, because I assumed everyone else would; in any case, the interviewers on the big screens asked them. I got Button's and Panis' by legging it across the front of Goodwood House, and didn't have a chance to ask them anything. I asked Damon if he was going to the Revival Meeting, which he isn't; I would've asked him about his appearance on Top Gear if I knew he was on it at the time (it was broadcast that evening).

Don't worry, I got plenty of piccies of the Maserati Birdcage.

I went by myself, so I could go wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted. It's so much better that way.

When I start driving I be going on my own to more motorsport races and events.

I thought FOS was only on ITV when Speed Sunday was on which is not on anymore.

Just read in Auto Action that Peter Brock scored the fifth fastest time, 54.25 seconds, 6.29 seconds slower than the Jaguar XJR12 Group C car. He was beaten for touring car honours by Anthony Reid in a 1999 Nissan Primera Super Tourer. Brock has been invited back for the Goodwood Revival historic race meeting in September.
Brock also completed some demo laps in in the Holden V8 powered Vauxhall Firenza which was driven by Gerry Marshall in the 1970's.
Anyone get any photos of the King of the Mountain?

Carrera GT running
I sure does work. That Carrera sounds sick. It sounds very much like an F1 car. The engine originally designed to be used in races anyway, but plans changed so it became road legal.

I got to hear a old 80's F1 car. Honestly I was half death afterwards, I had to shout to hear myself. The poor Japanese who have to sit next to the engine and press the throttle. Just talking about this is making my ears hurt.

I think I saw the same 80's F1 Car like you plus I did not get a single bit death being near any of the F1 Cars.

They were also music to my ears shame GT did not go on Sunday aswell then we could of met up.

I've seen a pic on the goodwood website showing that the Zonda got bumped and broke it's front bodywork. Anybody see it?

Edit

The Jag S type R went off very heavily on Friday

If you zoom in on this picture of the big screen you can see the side is battered in. It happened just down the hill from us but too far to get a picture.
