For the past year or so, I've been driving mostly standard/premium stock cars in free runs. "You may have seen me" in a Civic 79, a Midget or a Fiat 68 too.

Thing is, every now and then, someone, in a high powered car, will hit me from behing on purpose, to "boost" me or something. Of course, when a FGT, X1 or anything that has more than 600hp hits you, you crash.

Problem is, they stop, turn around and hit you head first. Then they go back behind you, pushing and all.

Seriously ?

I would understand if created rooms were limited to a certain number each day, but it's unlimited, yet, there's always someone doing a free run in an X1, or one that think it's funny to hit everything. What I find funny, is when you catch up to those people who "drive" powerful cars... in barries/grass/walls and you catch them with a stock/low hp car.

I rarely find people who likes untuned cars with their default tires. (I have a G27 too).

Anyone ?

Is 506hp low? lol. I have some days where i like to take my modded 1100 beetle and cruise or my Stanced Ghia.

i like driving low HP... like Tiburon, Sunfire, SRT4 but no stupid Daiheatsoo , midget and or s*** like that

I love driving my standard Renaultsport Clio as it is as close as I can get to simulating my experience with hot-hatches in reality. It has a good engine, shame it's not quite as fast in the game as it is in reality though.

I liked driving the volvo station wagon unfortunately it cant even win the sunday cup.

Ben: Sounds like the VCRC would be your kind of thing. Lots of vintage, but more importantly - tuning prohibited and stock tyres.

Have a look at this thread, it is a list of the current VCRC/MCRC events and contains links to the social groups as well.

The Mixers, both Vintage and Luxury, are surprisingly good fun. Of course the Luxury features more powerful cars, but the Vintage really is low power fun.

I like driving stock cars. however i drive the higher power stuff, like Benz or GT-R. when i drive the low powered stuff, i feel slow, I don't like going slow, it feels like i'm not racing. isn't this what the whole game is anyway.

I like driving the '96 Legacy wagon but I tend to prefer driving my 880hp GT-R with Comfort Hard tires.

The most enjoyable part of low-powered driving is probably nailing a corner that's much harder in obscenely high-powered cars.

Racing is racing. It's relative to the class of cars in the field. You can have as tight a race (and as much fun) with 400PP cars as you can with 700PP cars. Speed is another issue altogether.

I've driven low powered cars quite a lot, and I've seen the same issue. People automatically assume slow car = not serious driving. They either stalk you or attempt to push you up to speed, or both. Naturally, they are automatically banned from my room for attempting something stupid like this, but then they send mail as if what I did was uncalled for. I don't enjoy having my laptimes spoiled by people who can't drive.

On a side note, I've never actually been hit by an X1. It's usually a super tuned road car.

I love driving small light low horsepower RWD cars like the miata and GT 86 and elise.

Man those cars are forgiving, and are so easy to drive.

But once you go back into a high powered car, you will have to adjust back to the power.

i drive non tuned cars all the time online & offline, since I have G27 I dont want to spoil cars. anyways I do tune some cars like Old skylines, they are also lots of fun when overtuned, and with theyre light weight they act like karts :)

and I find lots of good rooms, you just have to look harder!

A Spoon Civic is one of my favorite cars to drive around the 'ring.
In fact, a lot of small FWD hatches are fun to throw around at Nurburgring.

I also think it's fun to take the Honda Odyssey around the 'ring. Many people do a double take when passed by a mini van.

Lotus Europa Special '71. It makes a great sound at 2000-3000 rpm untuned and it can beat a Mercedes Benz 190E that has been modestly tuned.

And the interior view gives off the feel of driving an F1 car. I just put some TE-37s on it though.

You'll never find them in free run rooms that's for sure.

Setup a room with low PP, comfort medium or hard tyres and tuning prohibited. If no-one comes in, you're living in the wrong country and/or wrong timezone.
