Been playing this since launch in 3D on my Mitsubishi 73837 with some Real D CrystalEyes 5 glasses. It's pretty amazing and I can't wait to get my cockpit build finshed and in front of that screen.

I always been a Home Theater enthusiast and have recently decided to put a cockpit together. Looking through a lot of design options as it has to be portable and still deciding on a wheel between the Fanatec and a G27.

But...the 3D is pretty amazing and very tunable with the amount of effect if your eyes are sensitive. Been playing Black Ops in 3D on my 360 and loving that too, but racing simulation is the best application for 3D IMHO.

I have the Samsung UN55C8000 and was playing in 3d for a bit. I really want to like the effect but it is only in 720P, am I missing a setting? I started playing without the 3d setting and the graphics seem much nicer/smoother.

Plus, I could not get the PS-eye to track with the glasses on, it was hard enough to get it to track at all.

If they fix the issues with 3D & PS-eye, the immersive feeling will improve 100-fold!

When did the Xbox get 3D?

I was having trouble at the beginning with my ps eye, but I finally got it fixex and I have the little box just as big as my head is on the TV and it works perfectly. Now I just have to get used to it. :)

Lol that's what I said when I heard about it but there are a few select games that do 3D on Xbox. You have to have an 360 with HDMI but other than that if the game outputs it you can play it in full stereoscopic 3D.

Did you try adjusting the parallax settings of your 3D mode. That may help with picture quality. Also could be an issue with the glasses PQ. Mitsubishi and Samsung use the same emitter glasses and I wasn't very pleased with them. I've actually bought and returned 3 different types of 3D glasses until I finally found a setup I like with the the CrystalEyes once they dropped the price from $600/pair to $175/pair.

Haven't tackled the head tracking yet. Would like to work that into my cockpit though.

You think I was able to get GT5 working in 3D with my new Acer GD245HQ 3D and nVidia 3D glasses?

It would be nice ... :dunce:

There's apparently a lot of tearing in some stages with the 3D.

Check out the Eurogamer article on GT5.

They ran some technical analysis in one of the night stages with rain
720p averaged like 50-54fps, 1080p averaged around 48-50fps, and 3D managed a whooping 30-35fps.
