I'll really have to cut down. Too much soda just makes me feel tired all the time. It takes time to acquire the taste of water but drinking more pure water is possibly the best way of keeping your body healthy and efficient.

I stopped recently, ehm about 23 years ago.

Also do not drink tea or coffee.
Also avoid what we call Pils (light beers) and cheap booze.

Sometimes it becomes an issue to find something I still drink and can enjoy at that time.

My body is like an engine.

Runs on oily foods and coke.

That must mean my body is a Brazilian farmer's motorcycle engine.

Runs mostly on unrefined alcohol and smokes like a chimney stack.

I don't understand how anybody, who respects himself, his body and health, can drink soda, alcohol or smoke, just doesn't make sense.

Americans have such cool names for things. Anyways, I try to limit my liquid intake to water and choco latte. I only drink soft drink (usually only Coca-Cola) when it is offered to me.

For those who are battling the bulge, dehydration slows fat-burning greatly and "drinking eight ounces of cold water can burn off an additional 9.25 calories as compared to room-temperature water" (Kearney).

I've been fizzy pop-free for a few weeks now - trying to curb the belly-gain.

Remember kids - SAY NO! TO HIGH-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP.

I've been drinking more carbonated beverages lately... kinda like how people drink beer to deal with stress.. but instead of losing braincells and getting drunk, I increase my chances of getting cavities

On cavities: You can keep the soda, just ditch the potato chips...!

I caved in the other day to a bottle of Bigga! ("I...am...Jamaican!!!") It did the job for the hour I needed the effect, but after that...huh...!!

I'm the other way round, except I never drink alcohol to deal with stress.

I've hardly touched any carbonated drinks over past couple of years. It's not that I don't like them, it's just that I never really feel the urge to drink anything sugary like that.

I drink 1 sometimes 2 sodas a day but everything else I drink is bottled water. Or OJ and if it's around Christmas sugar cookie eggnog :D
